My review is really a comment /message for the owners and manager of Diani Travel Centre. I actually ended up not booking my trip with Diani Travel Centre. I am a Kenyan but I do not live in Kenya and have not lived in Kenya for a long time. I only go back for visits. We (Husband, myself and our two boys) were visiting Diani in January 2011. We were having lunch at Aniello's while planning our activities for while in Diani. While our meal was being prepared, I popped in next door (Diani Travel Centre) to find out what is on offer. My experience was not at all positive. I requested for leaflets to take so that we could discuss these over lunch but the lady at treception told me that they do not give leaflets until you have made a booking. I asked how you can make a booking without having an idea of what is on offer but sorry the lady did not shift her position - infact she gave me the impression that she did not have any time for me! A man came to the rescue, explained a few things very quickly and when I asked about snorkelling he informed that they do trips but they would have to sit with me as I could not swim! These people do not know me from a bar of soap so why make assumptions on me?? I walked out without leaflets but a price list. We eventually booked our snorkelling and other activities with another tour group and had a fantastics time.
I would like to appeal to the owners/managers to train their staff in customer care... may be it is there because I have read really positive reviews, but then why look at me and think I am not likely to book an activity?
