This beach is absolutely beautiful, the Indian ocean is truly lovely and unspoilt. Try a boat trip to see how clear and unpolluted the water is and see the vast array of sea creatures. Beware of beach boys who try to coerse you into buying stuff, i had half a dozen marriage proposals whilst strolling up and down the beach.

The beach is beautiful, the reef just off shore meaning calm , warm waters and cycling its length is great fun.

The local sellers are a little too many and too friendly though - assertiveness may be required and be warned, whatever you say they will remember at your next visit so be careful with 'fobbing off'!!

Wonderful sea, sand and reef. Kitesrufing, surfing, snorkeling are all there and the Swahili food is something that won't be forgotten.

I am lucky enough to live right on this lovely beach and enjoy it very much. They say familiarity breeds contempt, but not in this case since the colours, especially at low tide, never stop changing - deep blue, turquoise, sand and white. The sand is really white and of course there is seaweed but it comes and goes pretty quickly and never affects the whole beach. There are a number of activities in the sea off the beach of which snorkeling is my favourite and it is still lovely to see all those pretty fish and corals.
