Eat and drink as the Indian Ocean laps the shore metres from your table... Or sit there getting wound up listening to the waves remind you that you've been waiting 40 minutes for a drink. This was really hit and miss and wholly dependent on the waiting staff in our section. First visit was fantastic: The Indian buffet was absolutely the best and most varied Indian cuisine we have had. The drinks came promptly and we had a ball. Second and third visits were painful. The staff had a very loose grip on even the basics. The waiter was incredulous that I might want ice in my gin and tonic and explained that there was ice in the drink but it had already melted - he then came back with a lump of ice bigger than the mouth of the glass. I have a feeling that we were dealing with seasonal staff so my ask to the management would be to please give these guys some more basic training so they stand a chance of getting things right.
The food was always good when it arrived but the lack of basic training spoiled the experience twice of three attempts.
