A wonderfull pavillion of wood and drapes and even a rock fountain behind glass creating a cool respite from hot Kenya sun Alittle more expensive than some other places but to a European about half the price of a Costa coffee etc Elegant setings comfortable seating spotlessly clean and attentive staff The coffee is excellent as is the home made ice cream More for the mature client to chill talkand read a newspaper but at the same time child friendly I really like this place which shows quality can exist unlike some of the other places along Diani beach

We have been to Leonardo's many times. On this trip we visited 5 times!! A bit excessive I know, but we just had to get away from the dreaded animation team for a few evenings!

The decor is stunning, with tented ceilings, some of the most comfortable dining chairs I have ever sat on and friendly efficient staff. I cannot deny that the food is only average, although I can recommend the T Bone Steaks. They do tend to overcook their seafood which is a shame. I didn't think the prices were that bad, where can you get a T bone in England for £12.00, but with wine and drinks it can creep up.

A lot of people just have a few drinks and an icecream which is fine, no pressure to have a full meal.

There must be at least 25 flavours to choose from and once in the parlour its easy to get carried away with a few different scoops.

A nice break from the AI hotels, great atmosphere and friendly service. The Manager is always around and pops by every table to see everything is OK. A nice touch.

If you are after a gourmet meal then this probably isn't the place for you, but for a friendly relaxed break from your hotel its worth a try.

We had a very poor launch at Leonardo, the rice with Italian sausage was so tasteless to make me miss the local one commonly served in local kiosks, the portions very small and barbecued prawns overcooked and tasteless too while the so called “homemade Italian" ice creams was below average. I will not recommend it to anyone.

The bar is beautiful, nicely done out of local wood and well finshed by a local infamous carpenter Mario, but it's a boring place. Diani locals do not go here for a drink or for a meal. Only for ice cream. The ice creams here are very good but that's about it. I strongly suggest you don't eat here as it's honestly terrible and the price is pretty high. I would suggest you go to Aniellos for a fantastic Italian meal instead.

Service is also not good.

They definitely need to improve their food.
