Set in a cave and open to the stars, with candles and soft lighting, this place is an incredible setting. The food however was nothing spectacular.

Inspired by the reviews here in tripadvisor, my wife and I decided to end our vacation in Diani with a dinner in this special ambience, to end it with a nice romantic impression after 3 weeks of ever repeating "all inclusive" grub.
And we were not disappointed !
The ambience in a discreetly illuminated real cave is already quite unique. And to see the stars and the moon through the open ceiling while you enjoy a good glass of wine and an excellent platter of seafood makes this a highlight to remember that is definitely worth the price.
Just go there only on the last evening of your stay in Diani - or else the food and service in your all inclusive resort will be even harder to enjoy.

We have visited the restaurant many times in the past. First and foremost this time we were very disappointed by the new european front of house staff. Especially the lady was unprofessional, unaccommodating and rude.
The atmosphere was nice as usual although we were missing the ambient music they used to play. The food was good but the portion size was small compared to previous visits.

I went there last night with my family and had a good time but the service was really pretty poor. When the main course turned up they got my sons wrong and then the waiter tried to convince me what he had in his hand was actually what we had ordered. We had asked for fish fillet with mushroom sauce and were given fish fillet with lemon butter. I know it’s not a major thing but just to be told that they had made a mistake and then have it sorted was all that we wanted rather than bullshitted that this really was what we ordered. Had to wave at the waiters a few times like I was drowning at sea before they noticed and came over to give me a another drink.

After all that the place is worth going to for a one off, which is probably the problem with the service in that they don’t expect anyone to ever come again as they are mostly all tourists, just don’t expect wonderful food and great service. But the place itself is quite unique.

We went to this restaurant during our stay at the southern palms hotel.
It is an amazing place, it really is a cave where you can look up into the night sky whilst eating your food. inside it is lovely with candles lighting up your table and the surrounding walls. The food is lovely and fresh and the staff are very friendly and welcoming.
You should definately go there if you are in the area.
