“Beautiful setting, excellent service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 24, 2013

It's worth going to Ali Basrbour's for the setting. Absolutely beautiful. You enter the restaurant by going down a few stairs to take you to a lovely bar area. The restaurant is set inside the cave, with lots of nooks and crannies for a more intimate feel. We were lucky enough to be seated right under the cave opening in the roof..so could look up and see the stars (it doesnt feel at all claustrophobic due to this). The restaurant is beautifully lit with candles and soft lighting.
The service is outstanding and you're made to feel really special. The food was very good, but not excellent, and there was a good wine menu. Prices were good too.
Definitely worth a visit,..and the pick you up and drop you back to your hotel or villa too.

“NOT SO GOOD THIS TIME AROUND”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 22, 2013

Nice setting, but this was our second visit and was not as good as previouys year, food very bland and too much of a mixture on one plate. Would not go again.

“A must experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 9, 2013

Lived up to all expectations. Unfortunately we only had the chance to visit twice during our holiday to Diani Beach. We we very impressed with the cocktails and wine menu at very reasonable prices (A lot cheaper than our hotel). The setting is unique and not to be missed. The food was much to our taste with a good selection of dishes. The service was prompt and friendly waitresses helped make both evenings special. This was the highlight of our stay at Diani Beach. The Forty Thieves is also well worth a visit.
