I went today (No.v 6, 2012) and it was still glorious...the water was warm enough to swim in. Don't miss the tomb site on top of the cliffs. Just follow the goat bells...up up up...it's not far and is well marked. It added a lot to my trip since I was not able to go to see the palace of Nestor (since the workers there were on strike and closed it) - at least I was able to see SOMETHING.
It is a beautiful beach - the name means belly of the cow.
I met a goatherd, who lept up the trail to the tomb. I was very impressed!
