We have just returned from a fabulous two week holiday at the Sunrise hotel.10 people, ages ranging from 20-60 years.
Nikos and Sotiria are amazing hosts and put on an impromptu BBQ/Greek night for us. Lots of dancing and great food, nothing is too much for them.
We stayed in the new premier room which was modern, clean and very comfortable. It included a flat screen TV and DVD player. Other members of our party stayed in standard rooms which were not as luxurious as the premier room but clean and functional.
The hotel is just far enough away from the main centre so not troubled by noisy bars but an easy 10 minute walk in to town.
The hotel is clean and the swimming pool is the best we have ever seen with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas.
Breakfast is buffet style and provides a great range of food for all tastes.
Stelios, the barman is great fun and very knowledgeable about the Island.
We have been to Greece many times but no where beats the Sunrise Hotel

I went for a long weekend with a friend, during the Will and Kate royal wedding.
The owners were very welcoming and very professional. They were a very kind couple.
April was a good time to go because it was quiet so we had the whole pool to ourselves which was great.
The hotel and the rooms were very clean. The rooms were basic but very clean. The room balcony was shared with the neighbouring room but we didnt see the neighbours at all.
We could hear noise coming from people in the streets when they were coming home from drinking but I only seemed to notice it for about ten minutes.
I would like to come back here in September.

We have just arrived home after a week at Sunrise Hotel. This hotel has a nice vibe - a family run hotel. Where the family and the rest of the staff give you the best service.
You feel welcome and safe there : ).

Our room was clean and of good size. After 3 days we were upgrated to a better room without extra cost.

Breakfast is good value for your money. They also serve great food at their pool side restaurant.

Guests return to this place year after year. When we were there a group of ladies from England came back for the 13. year in a row! It says it all about this hotel and its owners.

We will definately stay at Sunrise Hotel again when we return to Zakynthos.

We stayed here in September 2010 to celebrate our first wedding anniversary and I can honestly say it was one of the best holidays we have ever had!!! We have travelled all around the world and never found hospitality like we did in the Sunrise. The staff would do anything for you and within minutes you feel part of the family. The pool area is large, clean and very relaxing whilst the food from the poolside bar was excellent. It is about a 5 minute walk into the centre so your away from the noise but the only negative thing we could say was the cockerals in the morning but you soon get used to it. The rooms are very clean and the cleaners are very friendly and would do anything for you. We will be returning to the Sunrise ASAP. Thank you for a perfect holiday.

Arrived at about 8am after having to stay in the airport all night in Greece and travelling all through the previous day. Very rude manager on reception who wanted to take my passport (yeah right) because he couldn't be bothered to write a few items in a book. Ended up in my room after carting my suitcase up and down stairs with no help from Monsieur Grumpy! Electricity wasn't on or hot water so back to reception! Oh and to pick up a key which he'd forgotten to give me. Ugly room which smelt very musty and was crawling with ants. Luckily Zante was beautiful and made up for the hotel, and the other people in Zante were so kind and helpful. Definitely wouldn't go back to this hotel, very expensive and not value for money!

The owners and staff at this hotel are extremely friendly and we were made to feel very welcome. In common with most of Greece, the accommodation is basic. It was cleaned each day and the bedding changed 3 times in the week. The bedroom was a good size and storage facilities for clothes etc were more than adequate. The balcony was also quite big. The shower was typically greek and functional (plenty of hot water). The pool was one of the best we have had in Greece and always clean. Also, plenty of sunbeds with mattresses and umbrellas. Breakfast catered for both Greeks and Brits and there was no excuse to leave the pleasant dining room hungry. The hotel was full but noise from other holidaymakers either early morning or late at night was never a problem. Heard the cockeral a few times but the hotel is situated on the edge of Tsilivi where its more rural so its not unexpected. Only a 8-10 minute steady walk into the centre of town. Stelios the barman is the best we have ever come across anywhere in our travels and when the staff put on a b-b-q greek night (which was brilliant), he was a star. 15 euros a head for as much as you could eat and a few free drinks thrown in as well. Our holiday was 2nd - 9th Sept. 2010. Weather hot all the time except for one morning of cloud and drizzle. ErnieB

The hotel was a rather poor one in all aspects.
All rooms where surrounding the pool so there was practically noise everywhere from 07:00 in the morning till 21:00 in the night.
The rooms where very dirty. They did clean every day but with a dirty mop.
Poor breakfast, unfriendly people.
Not to mention the fact that they run out of water every now and then.
Worst experience ever.
