Just returned from 10days at this beautiful hotel. Recently refurbished and you can tell...new and fresh furnishing around the hotel. Guests range from early 20s upwards and a nice mix of people who just want to relax and unwind, couples, friends and adult families. Was nice to chat to so many.

The hotel has the most friendliest staff we have encountered in any hotel. Willing to chat, laugh and engage throughout the Holiday.

Food is good quality- like some said before and we agree, the lids for the cooked items are heavy for some elderly people but very fresh and clean restaurant. Chefs are particularly friendly and accommodating. Try the Sous chefs carbonara! Thank you Kostas sous chef, Maria the hostess and Elpida the team leader.

Drinks were fab- branded such as baileys, pink Gordon’s gin and absolute vodka, house wines also more than acceptable. Mineral Water is in glasses or bottles and plentiful- Yes waiter service little slow in evening but get up and get your own was our ethos. It’s only 10 secs to the bar and staff are never idle just busy.

Sunbathing is a little hit and miss at moment. I need the shade but as you may know by now there isn’t parasols round the pool nor will there be- I think they are needed round the pool as aug temps will be extreme so hope this gets implemented. On the beach most sunbeds have parasols but these get snapped up by 9-9:30 daily, they are included in the AI and beach waiter service is efficient and friendly. Well done Ionannis and Isabelle.

Rooms were minimally designed and clean. Loved the rain shower. Always loads of hot water. Beds comfy with duvet not blankets. We had swim up inland view. Ideal for morning sun and relaxing after 3 in the shade. Yes on the side of hotel facing quiet road but more privacy than the pool view rooms. Mini bar stocked with soft drinks and water daily. Shops for supplies are 3-4 mins from hotel entrance.

Taxis are fixed fairs. Into Zante town €15 each way. Worth a morning visit to break up the holiday and sun worship. Evening out at Halfway House restaurant was lovely No1 on trip adviser!

Hotel is almost there. An amazing 4star! Few finishing touches needed like a shaving port in bathroom, somewhere to put your hand towel, change the heavy restaurant serving dishes and a rethink of the parasol situation. Hope you all have a brilliant time like we did.

We knew when we booked that this hotel was being upgraded with no reviews which was a bit of a chance..... Happy to say that it exceeded expectations.
Check in was very efficient and fast with bags delivered to our room soon after.

Because of the superb location right on the beach you have amazing views from the top bar and main restaurant.
The food was very good and varied every day with enough choice to keep you interested. We used the a la carte restaurant during the day which was very good and nice to be waited on rather than the buffet in the main restaurant.
I would really like to thank all the staff at the hotel who worked their socks off to keep you fed and watered, especially the beach waiters who really did a great job.
The room we had was on the second floor with a limited sea view. It was spotlessly kept clean and tidy. Towels changed daily and sometimes twice a day. The mini bar was topped up every day along with fruit in your room.
The a la carte meal was excellent with a great setting by the beach which made it a special evening.
There are a few negatives......not enough parasols both on the beach and around the pools. You can see the hotel was not quite finished in places but it did not spoil the stay. Drinks service could be a little slow in the evenings which im sure would be solved with a few more staff.
The air conditioning in the room was very quiet which made sleeping comfortable.
Another benefit was a free safe in the room.
We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday here and would definately go back again.
All the staff were always smiling and happy to help in any way they could.

Room tip: Best not to have an outside facing room as they don't have great views

This is my opinion without trying to pick fault

Firstly the staff are out of this world, from beach boys, towel guy, cleaners, bar staff, FOH staff, just too many names to mention but the staff make this hotel

We are currently here and spending a week in a pool view swim up room. Food is just on the border of poor/ok, im more QUALITY than QUANTITY, i would rather have a quality HOT meal than all you can eat buffet, i have not yet had a hot meal, i asked the chef to put my meal in the microwave last night to heat it up, he refused, salad again and as a non meat eater there isnt much to choose from tbh

You need to book the a la carte and your only allowed to visit once during your stay, therefore the only other option is the all you can eat COLD, NEVER HOT, buffet.

But on a serious note, Being in the EU, this hotel needs to comply with European Food Safety Standards but unfortunately it does not comply with the food safety act, for example last night i was served a luke warm shrimp rice dish, rice and fish kept at this temperature is an ideal breeding ground for the growth of bacteria that cause food poisoning

Lack of parasols on the beach beds so first come first served. They say they will remove the towels if put on before 9am to reseve the sun beds but the dont enforce it which is a shame.

They have no security which is a bit worrying, people just walk in and eat and drink for free. We were never ever asked for ID either and there are no wrist bands to wear.

The hotel is very minimalistic, black and white decor. Plain and simple and really nice

Very close to town center 200 yards whith over 50 resteraunts to choose from if you fancy a meal out.
Pools are great with swim up bar. Not overcrowded as this us only a small.
Beach just a few steps away nice and clean.

Overall ok. We would not return as there are much better hotels we have stayed in for the money you pay.

Dear N6999EJjasonh ,

Thank you for taking the time to review your visit to the Tui Sensimar Zante Maris Hotel and Spa. I was naturally disappointed to see that your experience with us did not live up to your expectations. We take great pride in providing five-star service in all areas of our operation and it is most concerning that you did not find this to be the case. Your feedback is most appreciated and I would like to discuss this further with you, if you could kindly contact me directly at the hotel. I truly hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back, so we can provide you with the exceptional experience that our guests have come to expect from us

Kindest regards,

From start to finish the spa experience was out of this world relaxing! I opted for the traditional Cretan massage and it relaxed me for my entire holiday! I decided to book again for a deep relaxation massage, for which I went in the sauna first and it made the experience much more relaxing. The products they are using are excellent and organic, very hydrating and smell great. Very good quality, would definitely recommend it to anyone!!

Just spent a week at this hotel. The photos on this site are old and out of date. See the Tui brochure or site for up to date phitos. Adults only and all inclusive is the norm.food is great and the a la carte is a must. Also eat in the a la carte at lunchtime as it is waitress service and there is a 3 course menu to choose from.service is very good. Lack of parasols on the beach beds so first come first served. They say they will remove the towels if put on before 9am to reseve the sun beds but the dont enforce it which is a shame.
They have no security which is a bit worrying. One couple we spoke to had eaten and drunk in this hotel for a full week free of charge as they had never been asked to show their residence card.We were never ever asked for ID either and there are no wrist bands to wear.
It is very minimalistic.black and white decor. Plain and simple.
Very close to town center 200 yards whith over 50 resteraunts to choose from if you fancy a meal out.
Pools are great with swim up bar. Not overcrowded as this us only a small hotel.
Drinks are a bit slow coming but this is only a problem if your an alchoholic.
Beach just a few steps away nice and clean.
The only critisisms are the entertainment which is a bit hit and
Miss. Some good and some bad. And there is a distinct lack of cushions on the new wicker type chairs which are awful and very very uncomfortable.
Overall ok. We had a good time but would not return as there are much better hotels we have stayed in for the money you pay.
