“Great hotel for the price!”
Reviewed January 4, 2014 via mobile

My friend and I stayed here for a week in July and had a lovely time. I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a relaxing holiday!

The positives are the hotel is clean, friendly and quiet. All the staff and guests were pleasant and there was no need to get up at 6am to reserve a sunbed - plenty to go around! There is a pool side bar which does good food for a reasonable price, although alcoholic drinks were a bit pricey but always are at hotels! The hotel is about a 10 minute walk into the centre & 15-20 mins to the beach. There is a cheap shop 5 minute away towards the town to buy cheaper drinks also!

The negatives were the shower it is basically a drain with a curtain around which doesn't stop water flooding the bathroom floor! Also the beds are rock hard, but the room is a good size and the pool area is so nice it makes up for any bad points!

We had breakfast included but could only have it twice, the selection is very limited and not the best quality.

We found the resort itself very quiet, we are both late 20's and found that the bars/clubs were dead by 10, its more for families and couples!

We also did a daytrip to Kefalonia which was a lovely day, we didn't have our own transport so it was a good way to explore the Island. However we also made the mistake of going on the Island by sea tour which was basically circling Zante on a crammed boat for 8 hours, the views are just of rocks all day, in hindsight it would've been better to do the tour by coach so we could actually see the Island!
Overall I would definately recommend this hotel, just beware if you travel on early moring/night flights with Thomas Cook you have to checkout of your room at 12pm and wait around till 3am for the transfer to pick you up! Luckily the receptionist let us keep the room till we had to leave for an additional charge of 20 euros!

My best friend and I both aged 18, visited Zante for the first time and loved staying at Petros.

We arrived late in the day and after checking in, decided to cool of with a quick swim, but the nice receptionist came and said that she had forgotten to tell us the pool closed in the evening however we could stay in for 20 mins anyway. You have to pay extra for air con (around 30€), a fridge (15€) and a safe (10€) I can't remember the exact costs - but the fridge and air con are a must!! Our room had a lovely balcony which caught the sun all day, perfect for drying towels, breakfast was an open buffet, ham, cheese, cake, tinned peaches, eggs, toast, yogurt and cereal with a selection of drinks- we didn't drink the orange juice as it wasn't to our taste.

The hotel is tidy and clean, lovely large pool with very comfortable sunbeds - with always spare sunbeds available. The pool bar was nice and cheap - prefect for a Greek salad for lunch, and played the local radio station with current music but not so loud to disturb anyone.
Our sheets and towels were changed and the room cleaned, the shower was quite small but then its Greece! The staff were very helpful and quick to solve any problems, we discovered our toilet did not flush, and after speaking to the receptionist, when we came back to the hotel at the end of the day it was all fixed - very happy girls!! We found the lovely sandy beach a 15min walk away - don't let this put you off, you walk through the town and can choose from the huge choice of restaurants where to eat lunch/supper. A visit to Sweet Revenge and Trenta Nova are a must!!! We went to the Apollon restaurant one night and were hugely disappointed.

The hotel is a real gem, located in a quieter side of Zante, however there still are bars for cocktails and for dancing. However if you are looking for clubs then you should head to Laganas instead.

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip, perfect for a relaxing holiday, lying in the sun by the pool.

Friendly and clean. Staff are pleasant and helpful. Susie in the pool bar is great fun and an asset to the place. Breakfast not the best unless you like hard boiled eggs. Tomatoes and decent tea would be good, and they could do with both a new toaster and hot water urn. Hotel pool fab and always plenty sunbeds.
Tsilivi itself is a lovely resort, lot's of fab eating places, would recommend Family restaurant and also YumYum's and the Escape bar for good music.Best resort on Zante.

This summer my family and I stayed at the Petros for 2 weeks and loved every minute.
The hotel it's self is well run and the rooms are kept clean daily with fresh sheets and towels every other day. The pool is kept in tip top condition which has a great bar run by a lovely English lady called Suzie who also makes great bar food. You can get a full English breakfast, lunch/afternoon time snacks. Great if you want a lazy day by the pool. And prices are very reasonable.
Just a 10 min walk from the main town the Petros is in a quiet area with a great view of the countryside from the pool area.
The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful at all times which made our stay an enjoyable one.
We are definitely planning to stay at the Petros again. Cant wait to get back there!

superb hotel , clean and tidy inside and out. staff all concerned about our holiday experience and want to do the best for guests. our only minor gripe was the breakfast was the exact same every day with the bread being a bit chewy, but hey ho its how it is. Would certainly go again,,,,,,tomorrow if I could.xxxx

Room Tip: front ofr hotel a little noisy and a farm up the hill has cockerills so if you dont want to be woken...

The hotel Petros is a lovely and clean hotel on the outskirts of town, about 10 mins from the shops, and 15 mins to the gorgeous sandy beach(turn right at the bus stop)

The bedroom was clean and fresh laundry was supplied almost daily. The hotel staff were very friendly, and the pool and surrounding area, extremely well maintained, with Suzie as the perfect pool bar host!

Special offers travel is the place to go to book excursions, we booked three with them, and all with the same English guide. Sue, who was very entertaining!

The castle restaurant was a favourite (on the right just past the mini market) its very traditional, and family run, with the olive garden running a close second!
