VIP shipwreck and back to the roots are well worth a try, i enjoyed the shipwreck the most as its more "my thing" but back to the roots is very good as well. The staff certainly know their stuff and explain everything really well, and are very passionate about what they do.

We were a large group of 40 plus people looking for a day out in Zante, and from our first contact with Nefis travel the service was exceptional. A trip to suit an age range of 16 - 80 is a challenge, but Jackie came up with a number of alternatives - and nothing was too much trouble. In the end we opted for a private shipwreck tour which was a great day out. We weren't staying in Tsilivi but Jackie happily came to our resort to sort out the final details, organised the coach to pick up and drop off at our hotel, and arranged a fixed price lunch at Niko's to fit in with our budget. The trip was a great success, everything happened exactly when and how it was planned, and it was thoroughly enjoyed by all. So many thanks to Jackie, Jo and the Zefis team
If you're going to Zante I would highly recommend looking up Zefis Travel on http://www.nefis-travel.com and checking out a few of their tours.

We are so glad you took the time to comment on our tailor made group excursions. Here at Nefis Travel we are only too pleased to go that extra mile for our clients so that they get what they require and to suit all pockets. It can be quite difficult to please a group with a large age range and we are so happy that we fulfilled this to your pleasure.Say hello to everyone from us here in Zakynthos.

We love this tour company! The Back to the Roots was the first tour I had ever signed up for and I was very apprehensive. Horrid visions of unwilling tourists being rounded up by a bossy guide with cries of "back to the bus Now" haunted me but this trip was quite the opposite!
Our guide Jackie is knowledgeable, enthusiastic and charismatic. She showed us the quieter off the beaten track of the island, during the driving time she kept us interested in fascinating little snippets of Greek Mythology as well as being informative about the local people, places, flora and fauna.
We saw an old fashioned shop, an enchanting little museum, really a family collection of last century's rural life, collected and exhibited by a charming young man who has realised that gone is forever and that his grandparents and preceding generations lives have much to teach us about survival. We saw a monastery, heard a dear young street musician, and had lunch in a gorgeous little Taverna. We loved the simple, well cooked food, all locally sourced, and very much enjoyed the live music. The views are amazing, Turtle Island is not to be missed!
All in all, it was a splendid day and I would recommend it to absolutely everyone and make it compulsary for children so that they learn a little of real Greek culture in a really easily digested form!
We then eagerly booked up for the Shipwreck and Cave Tour!
We weren't disappointed. Although this tour is more about natural phenomena than cultural insight, it was a day to remember!
Picked up by coach, taken to speed boats - off we went, then Wow! Huge sheer white limestone cliffs surrounding a tiny bay of pure white sand, bright blue sea - took my breath away! The sand turned out to be tiny limestone pebbles, each round and shiny, the sea buoyant and warm, just gorgeous and, as if that were not enough, a real pirate's shipwreck!
Back to the boat, and off we whizzed to the caves. Unbelievably blue water, deep as caverns measureless to man, off we swam, just the best experience! Then lunch in a taverna with a View to die for, not cheap but really good.
The third swimming experience was in another perfect little bay, sea and sand as before, but with a whiff of sulphur in the air. Little flakes of collagen dotted the water, we emerged soft skinned, exhiliarated, tired and returned to our hotel tired, happy and feeling privileged - we know we've seen a glimpse of heaven!
Thank you to all at Nefi's Tours! It was a lovely experience,I'd recommend it to anyone and especially those who enjoy swimming.

After early start, we headed on our way winding through olive lined country lanes and small rural villages, listening to stories of greek mythology and local history by what can only be described as a fantastic guide. We stopped off at a scenic hill top to get in some early morning photo shots and then back on the coach to Niko's By The Beach for croissants before setting off on our boat trip to Shipwreck Beach.
Passing along a beautiful coastline, with Kefalinia on our right, we had picked the best day weather wise for our day out.
Having sped along passing secret coves, caves and isolated beaches, we arrived at Shipwreck Beach.
We had an hour of sun bathing, taking a few snaps of the graffiti ridden shipwreck, and a dip in the bluest of seas, then back on boat heading back passed an o monastic ruin, a closer look at the blue caves with a final stop for a 20 minute swim in a blue cave that made you an instant smurf once inside, very odd but one to remember.
We arrived back at Niko's for lunch, which considering he has captive audience, was very well priced and the food was tasty and enjoyed by all.
We then hopped on the coach for a 10 minute drive to xygia beach for an hours swim in the collagen flaked sea, which we were advised would make us all 5 years younger looking, unfortunately the short climb back up to the coach counteracted this.
Setting of back to where we we picked up we have one more story of Greek mythology a round of applause for a coach driver who skillfully negotiated the winding an narrow lanes and roads, with a few Greek farmers on tractors holding up the return, which was not too bad as we had a last chance to view the beautiful rural views before arriving back in Tsilivi.
All in all a brilliant day out that I would highly recommend and if we visit the island again will defiantly book with Nefis Travel although we will try the "back to the roots" next time

We did 2 trips with Nefis travel in September. I booked the tours via the internet before we arrived in Zakynthos having read the reviews on TA and was not at all disappointed with the service we received. We did the Shipwreck Tour and Back to the Roots. On the day we arrived Mariska visited our hotel and explained more detail on the trips, timings etc and she then took payment after ensuring we still wanted to do the tours.
As we were staying in Kalamaki both trips were very early starts especially for the Shipwreck Tour which was 7am. We were picked up by a minibus and then joined the larger tour. As a non swimmer I was disappointed that the smaller boats this company use couldn't get near to the beach at the shipwreck because of the high swell. This meant if you wanted to go on to the beach you had to swim and even my husband who is a strong swimmer found it difficult but I suppose that is the luck of the draw particularly in the latter part of the year. After the blue caves we had lunch at Niko's By the Sea which was very good if a little pricey. The views from the taverna were wonderful. The day was rounded off with a trip to the collagen beach. Mariska accompanied us on this trip and I have to say she is a lovely person, very knowledgeable and very caring of the people on the tour always checking that everyone is OK.
For the Back to the Roots Tour Jackie was our guide and she is also a wonderful very knowledgeable guide. There were some lovely moments especially in the village in the mountains and the tours of the olive oils museum and local village shop. If I had any issue at all it was with the lunch. Whilst the setting was lovely in a vine covered taverna the food was poor and expensive. It wasn't compulsory to eat here but we weren't really given an alternative. This was however our only issue otherwise a thoroughly enjoyable day which was just that bit different. I have no hesitation in recommending this company.
