I stayed at Lesante hotel 4 nights, it was perfect for a holiday with my friends in a good periode of the year, octombre. The food was tasty, the room was big enought and very cute....and the staff...great!

Glass of bubbly on arrival plus tour of hotel facilities on the way to our room told us this hotel was an excellent choice and we were not wrong. Lesante Hotel is split into 3 blocks of rooms within very spacious grounds.

The room was large with a comfortable bed, TV, fridge, kettle with tea/coffee. There was ample hanging and drawer space, and a spacious furnished balcony. The bathroom was a good size with an overbath shower and some nice complimentary toiletries. I had asked for a quiet room which we got.

Large pool with separate Jacuzzi and children’s pool plus smaller pool with ‘built in’ Jacuzzi by the steps. Plenty of very comfortable sun loungers and parasols with some double sun loungers. There is a bar between the two pools with a towel service. A small Chapel provided some entertainment late one afternoon when 2 couples got married.

The restaurant was very well organised. Plates cleared promptly by smiling staff. There was an excellent choice of food each evening including a chocolate fountain on a couple of occasions. Breakfast was the usual fare cereal; fruit; bacon, eggs etc; freshly squeezed orange juice; and freshly prepared pancakes.

The beach is about 5 min walk with sunbeds and parasols to hire. The sea was warm and shallow – you could walk out quite a long way before it got deep. There are also jet-skis and pedal boats to hire.

Hotel about 10 minute walk into Tsilivi along the road. There is a gate onto this road behind the hotel which is locked around 23:30hrs. You can still access the hotel through the underground car-park and up the steps in the far corner. If you walk down the lane to the front of the hotel you will need a torch at night.

The Lesanti is in a very quiet spot at the end of Tsilivi. Along the road into Tsilivi are a few part-built hotel/apartment blocks which made the area look a bit abandoned. If these part finished budilings ever get finished I suspect the Lesante would suffer from some noise from its neighbours and would not be in quite as tranquil a spot.

My husband and I were getting married on the island and wanted somewhere a bit more relaxing to stay! We had our little boy with us also but family and friends were saying on other parts of the island so was time to relax and this was the place! The staff were so happy to help and very good with our little boy! Place is clean and food is really great! We had our wedding outfits and the hotel took them and kept them in a safe place until the morning of the wedding and even steamed my dress and husbands kilt! Our wedding wasn't a part of the hotel but they did everything to make it special! Room service and free bottles of champagne and let the make up artist and wedding planner in without any hesitation! Overall great experience and value for money!

We stayed here during October and found it a really pleasant experience. I am disabled and the owner told me that if there was anything they could do to make our stay enjoyable then to just let them know. The staff were so helpful at all times and we enjoyed a bit of banter with the maitre d and waiting staff. The food was really tasty and and I liked the small helpings of the desserts and was able to sample a couple most evenings. The only quibble I have was that the hotel closes down mid October and we no longer had the buffet to choose from which was a shame as the choice was quite limited. Everything else was good about the hotel. Just be aware that the hotels all seem to close down mid October in Zakynthos as do a lot of the other services.

Zakyntos is small and poor comparing with Crete or Rhodos. That's why there are not many 5stars hotels and Lesante is "haven" there but is far comparing with a 5* in Crete or in Turkey. Anyway, if you choose Zakyntos as destination and you want 5* hotel then no other choice than Lesante. Nothing to reproach and nothing to praise. Nothing memorable, neither positive, nor negative. Good value for money. You're lucky if you see "carreta carreta", the famous symbol of Zakyntos.

I stayed here with my boyfriend for 2 weeks at the start of September. I chose the Lesante for its luxury factor, proximity to the beach (1 minute walk) and the fact that it is a short walk (10 mins) to the resort centre but far enough out to be peaceful. It didn't disappoint and we would certainly stay here again if we returned to Zante.

I would say it is a 4 star plus rating. It has all the facilities of a 5 star and feels luxurious without feeling pretentious. The transfer from the airport was only about 20 mins and on arrival we were greeted with champagne and then shown around the hotel so that we knew where everything was. Our room was a standard room and was lovely, very modern with plenty of space. Nice touches like bathrobes and slippers etc. The only improvement would have been to have an iron and board in the room although this was provided on request.

The pool area is lovely, good quality rattan sunbeds and towels provided. We tended to get out around half 8 in the morning however it seemed no problem to get beds at any time of day as there were plenty of them. Also there were umbrellas for each set of 2 beds so no problem getting out of the heat. The beach is a good alternative. There are beds on a grassy area and also on the sand plus several beach bars for lunch.

We were on a B&B basis so can only comment on breakfast, which was delicious. Everthing you can imagine, pancakes, cereals, fresh breads and cakes, fruit, yoghurt, cooked breakfast etc.

The only down side of the hotel is that the drinks were extortionately priced. There is a supermarket about a 2 minute walk away however where we used to stock up on bottled water and buy ice cream etc as it was really cheap. The hotel did not seem to have any issue with us bringing this into the hotel. Also I recommend heading to the beach bars for lunch as again the hotel is expensive.

The resort itself was nice with plenty of places to eat. It is easy to eat somewhere different every night and it is very good value for money. I recommend the Olive Tree and also King Prawn. It is not the sort of resort you can wander around very easily though, there aren't many shops or anything of interest as such, it is mainly restaurants and bars along the main road.

In terms of the island itself we loved it. We had never been to Greece before and now we are planning to go for our next few holidays. The weather was fantastic, food was amazing, lots of fresh produce and the people were very friendly, it was so laid back with no hassle. All in all it made for a very relaxing holiday. There is also a lot more to do on Zante than I thought there would be. Aside from the obvious shipwreck there are a number of trips you can book in town including tours of the island, horse riding, boat trips to other islands, bike hire, Athens and Olympia trips etc. You could easily be busy for 2 weeks. We took a taxi to Zante Town which only took about 10 minutes and cost about 12 euros.

Overall a fantastic holiday!
