We stayed here in the last week of May 2012. Warm welcome from the family, Supermarket across the road is good although market 5 min walk down the road was lots cheaper. Owners are happy to help their guests when they require something. It was lovely weather, we witnessed an almighty thunder storm one night which was awesome to watch from our balcony. It is lovely and warm at a steady 25 to 27 degrees in the daytime even when overcast. Menu at the venue is reasonable and food is nice. Tregaki is about a 30 to 40 minuet walk from Dream to Tsilivi so if you have children or don't want to cook in the sun you can get the Bus which is normally on time and runs about 6 times a day, hire a bike, car, bicycle or even a quad bike! I would say you would need around £200 minimum per adult spending money for the week if you want to do activities such as boat trip, crazy golf and bowling etc. We did eat lunch and dinner out most evenings but if you want to do things cheaper, go to some of the local supermarkets and butchers at the start of the week and make food to take. Local fruit is amazing and half way down the main road from Dream studios to Tsilivi there is a fantastic butchers (closed between midday and 5pm then open again until 9pm Monday to Friday) which is opposite a cheap super market which also sells cheap alcohol. There is also a great family run Greek Tavern Restaurant just down the road to Plagos beach a couple of minuets away. Very nice food and lovely lady owner and good price. This is a great place to stay if you want to be away from all the late night bars but not too far to travel for a night out. It is about 7 Euro for a taxi.

Room Tip: Beds are quite hard and take a bit of getting used to, Studio's at back of grounds have a tiny v...

My wife and I stayed at the Oniro Studios in Tragaki for our honeymoon in august 2011. We can see why it's called Oniro, an absolutely fabulous place.
We have been to zakynthos twice before and stayed in nearby Tsilivi, so we roughly knew the area. When we arrived we got a taxi from the airport to the hotel which cost about €25, which worked out cheaper than getting a transfer by coach and a lot quicker. When we arrived, what a greeting, Nikos who runs it came bounding out to meet us, it was a real surprise that from that moment we were made to feel like part of the family. We were shown to our rooms, which are very nice and spacious with everything we needed, although we decided after a couple of days to spend the €60 and get the air conditioning, little bit too hot at times.
We found some great restaurants nearby, and if Nikos offers to take you to a restaurant on top of a hill then take full advantage of it, the view is amazing and the food is fantastic. Another great restaurant is Zeus in Tsilivi, food and service is great.
We hired a car for 2 days in the second week, wish we'd had it for longer, if you get a chance to hire a car then do it, it's a great island to explore and they can arrange rental from the hotel.
The pool is great, especially if you want peace and quiet as there never seemed to be more than 10 around the pool and no more than 3 in it at any time. The food in the bar is great, anna and katerina make some really good food, try their club sandwich. Beer is very nice, mythos, absolutely beautiful beer and well priced too. They hold a Greek night once a week inhigh season, which has local dancers and music, great food and is a good night for everyone.
I would recommend this hotel to anybody and everybody, fantastic hotel, great people and the best holiday we have ever had. Thank you to Everybody at To Oniro who made our honeymoon The Dream

This place is so relaxing, the family that run it are so kind and helpful, they will do thier utmost to do any thing for you.We always said that we would never go back to the same place that we had been to,ever.(because there was always somewhere else to see),but we went back to the dream studios 2 months after the first time we went.If you want a quiet and relaxing holiday, then this is the place to go.every one who stays there are friendly because its a small run business(30 appartments). We may even go back again.there are so many people going back so many times because of the friendly atmosphere there.

The Dream Apartments, What can I say, Lose yourself in the peace and quiet of the Zakynthian country side with the welcoming Antonopoulos Family in first-rate accommodation surrounded by spotless gardens and pool, with only a short walk to the beach (300m with restaurants) and nearby Tsilvis (1.5miles) for more restaurants and nightlife

After off loading the children onto the grandparents, my partner and I retreated to the sunny shores of Zante for a well earned last of the sun week at The Dream.
After landing early evening in the first rain in 4 months and the taxi driver not knowing where the place was, even after showing him the address, we began to have doubts, but upon arrival at The Dream the sun had come out and any fears faded as Costas, Christos and Ella greeted us with open arms like long lost family, took ours cases and showed us to our room. Shocked by the personal touch and high standard of the room we quickly made our way to the bar to get over it, but even there the hospitality continued with a courtesy drink and other guests sharing the local knowledge through idle chit chat.(Thanks Janet and Dave)

The Ambula beach and Arkyiksomething fish restaurant’s which are a short walk away near the beach (Nikos and Costas will tell you the way) are highly recommended, with an excellent meal for 2 and a litre of house wine setting you back around 30euros, Although the family will take you (and bring you back) to a restaurant in the hills overlooking the bright night lights of Tsilvis which we would also recommend for a night out. What we would not recommend is Piero’s Greek and Mexican restaurant in Tsilvis. The chilli con carne looked and tasted like it was out of a tin and the chicken fajitas came burnt.
The Dream Greek night is a definite must, not only do they get you up dancing around the bar and pool , but out on the road too, at the detriment of any road users who have to wait until the song has finished.

We booked a car for the week after e-mailing Nikos beforehand (6 days 195Euros) and used it to take us back to the airport (pick up a driver in Tsilvis) this was great as we had a late flight back and it let us get the most out of the last day. That said navigating around the island is somewhat of an art (even with a map) and getting lost is all part of the exploration.
We would recommend a car even for a few days to see some of the great sights around Zante (Nikos will mark them on the map for you). We also took in one of the boat trips to the famous Shipwreck cove with a local company Nefis which stated to be the first boat at the cove, and true to their word the 2 speed boats containing around 20 people were first there. (ideal for the photo’s as 30mins later it was packed) they then took us back to the blues caves for swim off the boats before moving on to Xigia natural sulphur sea spa (or smelly beach as we called it) for a dip in the healing water. This was a good day out and cost 30euro’s each.

In summary we had a great time at The Dream apartments and would not hesitate to recommend it. We will be booking up for next year. Big thank you to the Antonopoulos Family

Room Tip: try and get a upper room at the back block, thew views over to Kefalonia are great,(room 109)

It took a while to decide where to stay in Zakynthos, and after choosing The Oniro we weren't disappointed. A warm welcome by Nikos at 6am (what a great chap!) led to a week of happy memories. The room we had was great, the best I've stayed in throughout the various Greek islands, clean, smart, a comfy bed and some excellent views. Although didn't tend to hang around the studios very much as prefer to get out an about or go to the beach, the friendliness of Nikos makes me wish we did more, and we would have except Greek night was cancelled and they weren't showing the football match I was after one night, but hey, ce la vie.
The area was very nice, olive palms coating the sides of the roads, hills and beaches close by to lose a few hours or days on. Not that many restaurants in the area itself(3 or 4), although all very good, and it was easy to walk (25mins) or jump in a taxi to Tsivili where you are spoilt for choice.
The half day boat trip to the caves and shipwreck island was pleasant, and it's worth a visit to Zakynthos town to visit the castle on the hill (great views) as well as wander around amongst the shops, museum, churches etc. Be careful of buses though as they don't run that often later in the day, although only 15 euros in a taxi if get stuck.
Anyway, back to "The Dream", it's a cracking place to stay, away from the noise and crowds and close enough for anything you need. Clean, friendly, relaxed and my only regret was not staying for 2 weeks

Room Tip: I think 306 was our room which had great views

Second visit to this lovely family. Made us very welcome and met up with some friends who like us were returning customers. This is the only recommendation needed if people return that says it all.
Thanks Nikos Costas, Christos, Ella, Katarina & of course little Christos jr.
