“Got what we paid for.”
Reviewed July 20, 2013

These apartments have huge potential due to the location and the excellent staff. Unfortunately, due to penny pinching by the owners and their reluctance to deal with loutish behaviour of some of the clientele, it will never reach its full potential. We booked two weeks self-catering here due to the very reasonable price, despite some bad reviews, which you will always get and we have found groundless when booking other holidays. However, our experiences echo that of previous negative reviewers. Our first bad experience came almost immediately we entered the apartment. I placed our toiletries on the windowsill in the shower room which my partner decided was the wrong place for them. When she came to move them, the unrestrained window, which drops downward, opened, narrowly missing her head/face. If the window had hit her it would have caused serious injury. I immediately went down and reported this to the management and was told that they would fix this at the earliest opportunity. My conversation was overheard by another customer, who informed me that the previous occupants had also complained of this. It was repaired four days later.

The object of specifying self-catering is that you can cater for yourself if you wish, thereby saving on the not inconsiderable cost of eating out all the time. The management, either through design or simply through the aforementioned penny pinching, make this option very difficult due to the lack of equipment. We attempted to boil some eggs on the ancient two ringed portable electric cooker which we found under the sink. Whilst we were waiting for the eggs we retired to the lovely balcony to enjoy a glass of wine. We heard a loud bang, which my partner assumed was one of the eggs exploding. I went to investigate and found that the eggs were OK but that the cooker and lights in the apartment were not working. Upon checking the fuse box, I found that one of the circuit breakers had tripped and switched it back to no effect. I asked next door if their electric was also off and they confirmed this. Another trip to the management! The guy went to the main switch board on the landing, flicked a switch and normal service was resumed. A couple of days later I attempted to cook some spaghetti, but when I plugged in the cooker a shower of sparks came out of the plug and once again the entire floor was without power. Yet another trip to the management! The rings were replaced and we continued our cooking.

All this does sound depressing but in reality it wasn’t so bad. The plus points are that the apartments are situated in a perfect place, right In the middle of the town. The pool area is wonderful, spotlessly clean and regularly cleaned by the staff. The rooms, like the pool are spotless, cleaned every day, with sheets and towels replaced every two to three days. The pool bar is very reasonably priced, both for the food and the drinks. The staff are wonderful and are eager to please everybody and although the rooms are basic and could do with some TLC, for the price we paid we got what we paid for. My advice is to go out and explore the lovely town of Tsilivi and if possible, hire a care and discover the beautiful island of Zakynthos.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that does not overlook the pool and bar area. You might get a good nights sleep then.

well we booked a cheap holiday and got a poolside room along with very loud music and patrons. the website stated the rooms were off the main track but located far enough back to ensure peace, that would be the case but the barman/owner chose to play music ridiculously loud through to 2 in the morning even when there was no one in the bar! the showers are built for children and every time you use them the floor gets soaked. you can't fault the cleaner's however the cooking facilities are a joke. we had a few plates and 1 fork? the 2 ring hob is plug in and is so old it has been painted so its a game to see whether its hot or cold. The smell from tge drains as you open the door to the apartment is disgusting. the whole place was constantly loud and the balcony/terrace overlooking the bar on the groundfloor offer no privacy. I had read some reviews and was optimistic, if you want a loud and invasive experience this is the place to go. the 50 € rip off for air conditioning and 15 € for a safe box are a joke. in conclusion th holiday company misrepresent the apartments. don't come here if you want a peaceful place to self cater.

When booking this s/c Apartment, via Thomas Cook, it seemed to good to be true, in terms of it's price per person, for a weeks stay, just had from 30th June/7th July. From the pictures shown by the agent & that on the Tripadvisor site, all would seem normal & above average for a 2T rating. Please don't be fooled, because what they don't tell you, that in the main the Apartments are run by certain elements/being guests who run their own show when their. From early 9am till way into 2am next morning, it's Carry on Brits abroad, with no thought for other guests, with their shouting/screaming/arguing & fowl language at times. Fuelled in most cases from the pool side Bar, that also doubles as a typical British Greasy Spoon Cafe, you are in for a treat & eye opener. That then mixed with the heavenly stench of raw sewerage, from not so well maintained pipes, will have you wanting to throw up, the second you catch it, normally around late afternoon, most days. Seems the cleaners put down Bleach & very fragrant Sanitiser on the Saturday only, as most new guests arrive on a Sunday. There is the Shower, built for a Dwarf, that is not even set at a metre high, good at washing your knees n feet, but can be fun, when trying to wash higher, without flooding the bathroom. To which we did everytime, to be left with a very slow draining hole, that was caked in filth, allowing a slow trickle of water through to drain out. Add also the non secured fixing shelfs in Bathroom, that when a tube of Toothpaste is placed on it, will happily fall off it's fixings. The Beds are next up, where i'm sure inmates at any of HM Prisons would give a better sleep. Think concrete, wrapped in a cotton fabric & you might get close, but not a decent nights sleep...hence why you probably need to be totally trollied out your head on Booze, A to be oblivious of the noise & B to not feel the pain had on trying to get comfy on the Bed. The Olympic Rep Lauren, so deserves a mention, who we did not meet, but had the front to put a Rep Quetionnairre through our Door, asking to fill out & tick all the boxes she had highlighted...not the ones we are allowed to choose, but the ones where she would be seen as the perfect & excellent Rep, she may feel she is, but unless met, hard to tick boxes suggesting she is. Love to grab a bargain & have a craic, but this sadly, worth skipping over & paying an extra £50-100, for a wealth of other places in area, that are far beetr than this House of Horrors. Tsilivi itself, at times in evening, resembled a Ghost Town, as it is clear, the Hotels are killing night life, with all inclusive deals, that then starve the Bars/Clubs from being normally bussling spots to unwind in. I'm sure there will be snipers on here later, as in some other comments placed earlier, who will contradict what i have posted, but that's life & i could'nt give a Monkeys if they do. As it's about 'personal experience' & this was mine !! so think hard & think doubly hard, about ever wanting to stay in these Apartments, if you want a decent abode whilst staying away !! One other point, if you are booked on a flight using Small Planet Airlines, best of luck to you & a Bible might be useful for reading, during your flight !!

Just returned from my 5th visit to Georgia Appartments and have to say it gets better every time we go. Appartments basic but kept very clean by excellent maid service. Bar staff very good and nothing too much trouble for them. One thing to remember for elderly guests is that the second floor has many stairs to climb especially in the heat.

Room Tip: Contact the Georgia 2/3 weeks before arrival date and let them know your room and floor preference.

The apartments are basic but very clean. Daily maid service was great. The pool area was lovely, and I have to mention the staff who worked the pool bar both during the day and in the evening. They couldn't do enough to help us, were very friendly and welcoming. The location was brilliant for us. Less than 10 minutes to the beach and also in the middle of the restaurants and bars. Despite this it was very quiet. We will definately be returning.

Just back from our second visit to the Georgia Apartments.
Rooms are clean and tidy with adequate kitchen equipment and are also air-conditioned for an extra charge. Maid service is daily apart from Sunday and towels are changed regularly.
The pool area is always clean, well laid out and has sun all day long.
Bar is manned by the friendly Kostas during the day and the food is of good quality and reasonably priced. Elena takes orders and always has a smile and a chat for you.
In the evening Leftheris (Terry) takes over and Peter (the boss) is often there too.
Both Terry and Peter make you very welcome and are entertaining.
Music playlists are good and not too loud.
We will definitely be staying there again.

Just returned from a week hols with my 21 year old daughter and 1 year old grand-daughter, we had a great time, rooms basic but very clean, towels changed regularly and maid service seemed to be every day! All staff were very helpful and friendly, other guests tended to be of the older age range but this was great because no noisy late nights, our room was on the ground floor next to the bar. Over all, excellent holiday
