Francis Point B&B
Ranked #3 of 8 Madeira Park B&B and Inns
Reviewed May 31, 2013

My husband and I spent two enjoyable nights with our hosts, Chrys and Clint. The accommodation was great and the B&B was located next to a lovely Provincial Park. The breakfasts were also excellent. We also went on a little boat trip, the SloCat, from Madeira Park and enjoyed it so much. The views of the Summer homes from the sea are unbelievable and it is lovely cruising in and out of the little bays.

we stayed at Francis Point B&B for one night this weekend and had a wonderful time. Chris and Clint were so welcoming and accommodating. The suit we stayed in was massive, with everything we might have needed, it was like a home from home. It was exceptionally clean and bright and spacious. the bed was so comfortable and we had a great night sleep. The area is so beautiful and has so much to offer i wish we could have stayed longer. I would definitely recommend this b&b to anyone alse, and would come back myself again.

Room Tip: we had the loft suit which was bigger than our apartment back home. It was beautiful and very bright...

We stayed at the Francis Point B&B for two nights and it was perfect! This was my first time at a bed and breakfast and I really enjoyed the warm welcome from Chrys and Clint. First off, their breakfasts are phenomenal! They put so much effort into cooking nice meals, and I loved their fruit dish so much! The location is just beautiful, and the rooms are very spacious and comfortable. I especially loved the large bathtub in the lower suite. We were given very helpful information by our hosts as to were to hike to, restaurants to eat at, and things to do during our stay. I would definitely recommend Francis Point to anyone looking for a relaxing weekend, or to discover the Sunshine Coast.

Three night at the Francis Point B&B and we didn't want to leave. Total relaxation. The loft was ideal for my wife and I, we could put our baby to bed in the bedroom and hang out in the loft's private living room during the evening. The hot tub was also a great feature. The breakfasts were really delicious. Most of all, the hosts went out of their way to make us feel welcome. It was truly above and beyond what we expected. I highly recommend staying here.

Room Tip: The loft is a great option is you have kids.

Although we only live an hour away this little piece of paradise offered the perfect Spring Break retreat without having to deal with ferries! Chrys and Clint made us feel very welcome and their home provided a warm, bright, spacious and comfortable setting for our family of four plus small dog. The breakfasts were fresh and hearty and the fresh muffins served as a great snack to carry us through until dinner! Our hosts very generously allowed us to use their kitchen to prepare evening meals and had a good selection of board games and movies to keep us entertained. The walks through nearby parks were very enjoyable and a soak in the hot tub helped to ease any aching muscles. We definitely hope to do this again and would recommend this B & B to anyone looking for a quiet, family and dog friendly place to stay with wonderful, accommodating hosts.

Room Tip: The Tranquility Loft offers ample space for a family and is very quiet and private. The small kitch...

As other reviewers have stated, Chrys and Clint are lovely hosts - friendly, informative, genuine and generous. My husband, teenage son and tween daughter stayed for one night in the spacious Tranquility Loft.

The Loft is an excellent set-up with a large living/dining area in one room that completely closes off from the large main bedroom. The bathroom is off the hallway between the 2 rooms. My son slept on the pull-out and didn't complain the next day of how uncomfortable it was (as is usually the case.) We brought our own inflatable single air mattress and there was plenty of room to lay it down for our daughter. The bedroom also contains a bar fridge, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, bar sink and tea/coffee/hot chocolate - all very convenient. The Loft is on the second floor of the house with its own separate entrance and small deck.

One amenity to note is that there is wifi available - we didn't see this in other reviews or on the site so we weren't sure. No wifi is generally a deal-breaker for our excessively connected family! Note that the service was a bit spotty if internet is a huge need for you.

The location was very peaceful and serene, just a few steps from a provincial park. We had a nice walk in the woods - only disappointed that we didn't see any wildlife other than one single little bird. There aren't many eating establishments nearby, especially in the off-season. The Grasshopper Pub is quite close - about 10 min drive - with attentive service. They have a 'social room' that they open up if you have minors in your party. It was great having a private room with TV+remote just for us but a tad cold as the heat didn't appear to be on! We had dinner at the Garden Bay Pub which was surprisingly good but a fair distance away - about a 30-min drive. Again, they opened up the restaurant dining room for us but because we called in advance they turned on the heat and it was outright hot when we got there.

Breakfast the next morning was delicious and huge! The adults had wonderful seafood omelettes and the kids had massive Belgian waffles with strawberries, whipped cream and maple syrup. Chrys made us laugh when she said if it wasn't enough to just let her know - I didn't need to eat lunch and probably could have foregone dinner too if I'd had the willpower.

Chrys and Clint were very helpful with tips and information on the entire Sunshine Coast area as well as delightful conversations about other areas for family vacations. We will definitely stay at Francis Point again if we're in the area.

Room Tip: The Tranquility Loft is definitely big enough for a family with kids. There's a skylight in the...
