I've been going here for 23 years. Always good food, great view, decent prices, and not too many tourists find the place. Service always varies from so-so to pretty good and be patient with wait times.

This is a nice ocean front restaurant in the Loiza area. The food here is good and the service is good as well. It is a little pricier than the other restaurants nearby, but deservedly so for the accomodations. If you are staying in Isla Verde and want to escape some of the crowd and noise, then the Waterfront and Loiza area in general is the place to do it.

Located just a few minutes south of the San Juan airpot, on a road lined with shacks displaying treats and beers, this waterfront restaurant is nestled behind everything with only one little sign. We happened upon it via our walk along the boardwalk extending the entire beach area. We doubled back and found the entrance to this quaint little restaurant that looks like it was recently built in the past 5 years. Completely varnished wood panelling thoughout, hand made artisan tables, chairs and matching kids tables tucked in a corner - complete with a sand pit! It was a wonderful place to hide out for a couple of hours while we watched the sky change to different color oranges during the sunset. The entire back of the restaurant is opened up to the beautiful water scene, which was a perfet pairing to our cervezas and lobsters. The food was just as wonderful as the location and the view. Our group started with several orders of plantains topped with a variety of seafood choices inclucing conch. Followed by litterally one of everything on the menu as we passed paltes around for sharing. The mofongo was perfect as was the sauce the lobsters were baked in. To finish the evening we had several varities of flan. They don't serve coffee or hot tea. Fortunately, we just so happened to have tea bags with us, so we made our own hot tea. The kids enjoyed their area for hours while we enjoyed our breathtaking views and conversation. The waitstaff was hospitable and the check was suprisingly affordable. By far the best place we went to during our week in San Juan.
