Went for a drinks and a quick snack after work, given the bar setting and atmosphere...

Sadly, the experience was very average with the staff not very attentive, bar food served quickly but was lukewarm, no napkins for finger food and follow-up to see if we wanted further drinks etc.

We have dined here twice now.
Good bar and nice seating inside and out.
Typical of Lone Star's franchise, you can not book a table and may have to wait.
It is a very noisy place to dine, forget about a nice quiet experience or romantic table for two.
Service is good.
The meals are fabulous and are large sizes so you won't go home hungry.
Good value for money.

Thank Mark E

A group of us went out for a Sunday lunch hoping to have a nice birthday celebration for a friend. The company was great but the food was a never to be repeated experience. The lamb shank hotpot was very lukewarm when delivered, the chicken fillet in the chicken bacon burgers was dry, thin and very unpalatable and one of the guests got an earwig in her salad. The meal with the earwig was replaced but did not improve the dining experience. The general consensus of the 15 of us that attended was that we will not be returning in the very near future. Very unfortunate as we have had excellent experiences at other Lone Star restaurants but will not be returning to this one.

There are so many excellent eating places in Pukekohe that we will NOT be returning here. The food was more expensive than other excellent eating places in the town but the food was only average (and that is being generous). The service was O.K but we felt as if we were on a conveyor belt!

Visited yesterday for a birth day celebration. Some years ago we had a similar venture and was supper impressed. Not so this time food average in fact just like pub food found any where..All that I spoke to on the table was of the same opinion and said they would be unlikely to return. The place was super busy however a new broom sweeps clean. The staff made up for it in some respects not being able to make a booking was a pain and we almost went else where. My greatest beef was I asked the waitress to make sure that I payed the bill didn't happen, this was a first for me. Service was fine staff helpful and pleasant..
