Just arrived in Pukekohe and by shear luck chose this place to have coffee and lunch. What a great find. Excellent food and great coffee. Great place to hang out. Service needs some twicking . Revisited again this morning and the coffee was again excellent and looking at people's breakfast they looked great.

I'd never been to Pukekohe before, but was driving on the motorway to Auckalnd Airport and had a bit of extra time , so thought I'd take this slight detour to Pukekohe. Also I'd stopped at a few places but their food looked mediocre, so had pushed on. I'm so glad I did. Kaos Cafe had orange comfy looking armchairs on the footpath and peole inside...clues for great food which proved to be true..In I went and looked at the food container..lots of choice, ordered a coffee and decided on the mushroom panini...it was the best I have ever had and here is why...firstly they cooked it so the outside was crunchy, it was quite big, it was stuffed with homecooked mushrooms , onion and other things, and the best bit...the panini bread was so so fresh, and bouncy on the inside, crispy on the outside..stuffed with carefully prepared inners..perfection ...and I got to sit in the comfy orange chair on the footpath and watch the people go by...

Kaos is the cafe everyone should go to for great food, staff and entertainment. There is a great variety of food and it is priced similar to other establishments of this kind. One of the owners is a hoot with his wicked sense of humour. There is a big selection of 'old' L P records that any patron can play on the old record player. The surrounding walls in the cafe are covered in L P covers and it is very nostalgic to sit and read all the names etc whilst waiting for your food. This cafe is always very busy and at most times it is recommended to book.

Staff very friendly. Eggs Benedict was divine, hubby had big breakfast and it was HUGE. Loved the atmosphere with old music playing, took me back to the 60's. And by the way coffee was great too!
