“Consistently delivers good quality food at a reasonable price”

This is a lovely gastro pub in a tiny fishing village in west cork. The food is always to a high standard and the staff are friendly. The chowder is particularly good.

“Lovely Food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 11, 2014

A family group of us visited this place for a few drinks and a meal. We were very happy with the meals and rated the food to be of a high quality and well presented. The atmosphere was also a big plus for us. We were lucky to be there early in the season as I believe the place gets very busy during the summer months. If you can get a table this venue is well worth a visit

“Good Buzz”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 8, 2013

We had dinner one evening on the recommendation of a local who we met whilst enjoying a coffee at O Sullivan's bar. He said we wouldn't need to book but when we arrived the place was heaving and we had to wait 30 mins for a table. the furniture is a bit spartan and somewhat uncomfortable--however after a couple of pints of the black stuff you don't notice--the menu is quite limited but what they have is very tasty and worth waiting for--and not overly expensive---the staff were under great pressure that evening but still found time to chat and banter. Overall an enjoyable evening with good atmosphere---would certainly go again when in the area

“Nice food but overpriced”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 4, 2013

The food is nice here but too expensive. Better off going down the road to O'Sullivan's, much friendlier and more welcoming.

“So dissappointed!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 14, 2013

I have been coming here every summerfor a good number of years and always look forward to the chowder. But I was so disappointed this year, way too salty and no fish whatsoever, it was like cream that tasted of fish! My oh had a sandwich and again, the ham was very processed and for the price, it was very disappointing!
