We had some very tasty food at O Infante and throughout our meal service was friendly and informal whilst being completely professional (a rare trick to pull off). I was the only person who had a starter, which was an enormous plate of delicious cockles as my wife decided to go for the cheese and bread that came to the table before we ordered and my sister was already aware of the monster portions that were coming.
Main courses were as big as foretold by folks on TripAdvisor and by my big sis and we could have been smarter about sharing. The restaurant would have been very accommodating too as they brought us three plates for to share for my cockles. By the end we were rather stuffed, which is a shame as the desserts looked excellent. Well, only a but of a shame as it turned out after a pause that a couple of us had room in our pudding tummies for a bit of walnut cake. Again, the portions were too big really as there were two slices of cake when just one would have been enough.
All in all, the food is very good, but the portions just too big! Sharing is certainly the way to go and that would probably bring the price into range for more people's expectations. We spend 80 euros for three people including a good bottle of wine. That's around half of what I would have expected to pay for this food in the UK, but locals might still consider this pricey.
