Description: "The perfect combination between Nature and Gastronomy" We are a typical Portuguese Restaurant, specialized in fresh fish and seafood. Our history started in 1983 as a small hut on the beach and we have grown step by step to become the house as you know it today. Our growth is due essentially to the allegiance of our clients who have always been here with us, through all this years, helping improving our quality with their welcome suggestions and opinions. Closed for winter holidays from December to February.

“Amazing setting”
Reviewed May 30, 2013

We were invited to join friends to celebrate a 50th birthday and we will certainly return. There were 16 of us so we sat in two circular 'pods' looking directly to the beautiful white sand and sparkling sea as the sun set. As it got a bit chilly later, we were able to pull the curtains round to block the breeze from the sea.
The service was excellent as was the food. I had escalope of veal with rocket and parmesan shavings which I would have again. The house red was good and not expensive. Other people in the group had prawn curry, fillet of sea bass, Iberian pork and lamb in the oven and without exception, everyone enjoyed their meal. It isn't cheap but with such a stunning location, it is a restaurant you have to try

“Sand between your toes”
Reviewed May 29, 2013

As Anthony Bourdain says: "Food tastes better with sand between your toes". That's what you will get from this restaurant and, in fact, it is the name of the restaurant in Portuguese.

The setting is on the beautiful Praia Verde. There is indoor dining and a wonderful wooden deck which sits on the sand and is a stone throw away from the beach.

The food looks wonderful and the taste is great. The variety of dishes appeal to both seafood and land lovers. Much more refined and elegant than the usual mom & pop, french fries and salad Portuguese restaurant but you will still recognize the wonderful and traditional Portuguese flavors we've grown to love. There is a broad range of cocktails and a handsome wine list.

Not cheap in any way, but price point is fair considering that you are sitting on the best beachside location. You may be on holiday but for this setting, go ahead, dress up and wear high heels --thank God for the wonderful wooden deck. There are outside booths which comfortably sit 8 persons or more and sexy tables for 2. Perfect place for dinner and lots of drinks.

You won't be able to resist a stroll on the beach after dining, So, bring a shawl or light sweater, the breezy evenings can be cool. After the walk, you can warm up inside with a cognac or brandy from selection.

“great food in spectacular settings”
Reviewed May 11, 2013

I went to this place in April, before the high season so may be it is more busy later now but at this time it was amazing. Quiet place on the beach, fine service, great food, very romantic, reasonable prices. It is great for romantic dinner but family outing can be fun there too. Good selection of seafood.

“Good food with a excellent view”
Reviewed May 11, 2013

This restaurant is located on a beautiful site. One has an excellent view on the sea. And also the interior of the restaurant is simple but beautiful. The menu shows a lot of dishes but fish and shell fish are clearly the specialty of the restaurant. And those dishes are really good. The wine list is clearly different from that of other restaurants and contain some special tasty wines. The only minus is the music. If you do not like lounge music you have a problem, because that’s the music they play all night long.

“Worth a visit”
Reviewed May 9, 2013

This place really is second to none, we have been a few times now and not once been disapointed. The food is divine and the setting is just fabulous, overlooking the beach. It's pricey, but at the end of the day you get what you pay for, and quality is what you get here! When we come out to Portugal in the summer we will make sure we try and book a cabana as these get full quickly. Can't wait for our next visit!
