Its not often you find a hotel with reasonable prices, great rooms, good food and nice proprietors. The good reviews the hotel already has are well earned and Dawn & Kevin are very welcoming hosts. As a bonus its in a lovely spot near to Saundersfoot and Tenby. Great for walking as well.

The first time we went to Bay View is some 7 years ago, and we have endeavoured to return at least once every year since then.

Dawn and Kevin are warm and friendly people and offer the most friendly of stays, lovely accommodation with a fantastic location. The beach is some 10 - 15 minute walk away, or 5 mins by car, with the added attraction of being able to walk from this beach to Saundersfoot. It is lovely and quiet at night with none of the noisy attributes of a large resort.

I have just returned having spent a relaxing week at this lovely hotel, the food as always, was great. I cannot think why the previous person thought they were eating microwave meals, as I know that Dawn sources her food locally and it is always fresh.

My advice to other tourists, if you want relaxation, good food, great walks, wonderful food and value for money, you need look no further than the Bay View Hotel.

Once again Dawn & Kevin, thanks for a lovely holiday.

We received a warm welcome from Dawn and Kevin on our arrival and this continued throughout our stay. The facilities were of a good standard and the beach was just a pleasant 10 minute stroll away. The hotel is in a lovely quiet area and close to many attractions, especially the chocolate factory which I would definitely recommend!

We were looking to spend quality time with our small daughter away from the hustle and bustle of everything, its the perfect location peaceful and tranquil plenty of things to do within walking or driving distance we were very happy to park up the car and forget it was there . Lovely beach about 15 mins walk and plenty of lovely walks to experience. Dawn and Kevin were very receptive and nothin was too much trouble. Lovely homemade food and very clean, comfortable surroudings will be back again this year. Can't Wait..

Fabulous location and lots to do - had a fun packed day at Oakwood but then a lazy stroll down to the beach the next.
Food was 5 star for the night we ate and we enjoyed eating in Saundersfoot for the other nights.
Room newly decorated and nice and airy.
Disappointed that Kevin was unable to sing but we shall certainly return for another stay in the summer (and hopefully hear him).
Value for money for a 3 ***. Would recommend to anyone.

Advertise Sunday lunch snack available but when asked "I can't be bothered with that"
Pool not open for early morning swims, just when Kevin felt like opening it. Evening meals a joke everything done in microwave you coukld quite clearly hear all the dinging.

Dog pooh on floor under bedroom window never cleaned up all time we were there.

Not sure how they got their star ratings but somebody must have been blind

We found Dawn and Kevin to be very friendly and welcoming. Our room was bright and airy and very clean and tidy. The lounge area was very comfortable and we had two lovely evening meals there.

The previous review comments about not seeing the bay from the hotel - well we could, just, through a gap in the hills - but having previously emailed Dawn it was immediately clear that there was a woodland walk to Saundersfoot. This suited as perfectly as we enjoy walking, and the walk (on a purpose made path) is easy and lovely, along the side of the stream (a torrent when we walked down after heavy December rain). If you want to be right next to the sea then this isn't for you, but by car it's very close.

I have to say I was surprised to read the other review and perhaps it was down to the visitor's expectations, or perhaps they were staying at a particularly busy period. We very much enjoyed our weekend stay at Bay View and my wife enjoyed the treat of having a relaxing holistic massage. It was important to me that it went well as it was a break to celebrate my wife's 50th. The weather wasn't good but it made us laugh and the welcome when we arrived back after a day walking through wind and rain was very warm and welcoming. We'd certainly recommend this hotel to our friends.

I must also add one more thing. Some years ago we stayed at a hotel in Worthing, about the same time of year (so well 'out of season') and the owner seemed to begrudge having to open the place for the few that were staying that weekend. There were very few at Bay View last weekend, being out of season and awful weather, but we never felt that we were anything other than very welcomed and the owners really couldn't have treated us better.
