This was one of our stops on an Avalon Waterways tour. The 108 temples were beautiful and the temples located across the street were amazing. The grounds were well kept and very scenic.

We suddenly decided to visit Kalna. We took the Howrah - Katwa Local at 8 am and reached Ambika Kalna at 10 am. Arranged a Cycle rickshaw which charged Rs.70 for an up and down trip. The Shiv Mandir takes just 15 minutes to reach from the station. Our return train was at 11.40 am back to Howrah. So we decided to rush inside the Mandir Complex and start taking pictures at random. I will surely revisit the Temples again for at least a 2 hours stay next time to take pictures of all the Shiv Lingas. Interestingly the " Lingas" change direction as they are supposed to face North and the Complex is Circular so the North Direction changes too.
