amazing! if u want to learn to surf go to Playa Maderas!
greg is an amazing host and Dexter, the manager is amazing !!
It is 20 min away from San Juan dowtown, but there is a free shuttle!
Ask for the surf lessons!
And Leticia is the best bar tender ever!

Room Tip: choose one with a griller!

We spent 5 nights at Mango Rosa in late April and really enjoyed our entire time here. Greg, Dexter and the rest of the team were quick to introduce themselves and let us know they were there if we needed anything. We ate at the bar several times and the food was always fantastic, especially the nachos! The rooms were clean and quite sizeable for the price, although there was no room service each day we didn't really need anything. The guys were also very helpful in giving us a lift to town if they were going and down to the beach. Definitely recommend this as a relaxing, fun place to stay if you are in the area! Thanks Greg :)

My wife and I with our two young children visited Nicaragua from San Diego over spring break and found Mango Rosa to be an Oasis from the heat of the Nicaraguan dry season. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable with all the amenities of home. The surrounding grounds, pool and bar areas have a very tropical feel that I found both relaxing and adventurous. Greg, Dexter and the staff were great and helped us feel at home in the Nicaraguan outback. Dexter provided advice on the local surf and each morning he was ready to head to the beach for what turned out to be a great several days of surf. Our kids enjoyed searching for monkeys each morning, sipping refreshing fruit smoothies and soaking in the pool for hours on end. All the people we met were great both guests and staff. I agree with the earlier post that the booze cruise was great fun and the Red Snapper was a tasty treat. I highly recommend Mango Rosa for those interested in adventure but wanting comfortable lodging.

it wasn't by choice that we stayed at the mango- but it will be next time!

our bus broke down literally right in front of mango rosa, and after walking in to call for a mechanic at the height of semana santa (easter sunday), we were thrilled that they had a room for us.

the pool is great, they will shuttle you over to the beaches, which are perfect to hang out watching the waves or catching them. Every meal we had was terrific and the people here were great (both guests and staff).

Even the "booze cruise" turned into a dolphin cruise as we saw literally hundreds of them swimming and frolicking around us in the water while we sipped deliciously strong rum punches and cold cervesas. Back at the Mango the kitchen staff cooked up the snapper we caught on the way out and we all snacked on a great dinner treat.

I wont tell you that we were disappointed to have the bus fixed so we could move onto the next segment of our trip through central america, but we were a bit sad to leave Mango Rosa. We had a perfect time here.

I have been traveling Central America for a while and it is rare to find such accommodation as I found at Mango Rosa. It's not right on the beach but close enough to get there with ease. The employees at the resort were excellent and willing to help with anything. If you wanted to get into town they could drive you right to where you wanted to go. If you wanted to go to the beach, they could tell you where to go for what you are looking for and take you there. The service was wonderful and I never felt like I was waiting for anything to get done. I will recommend Mango Rosa to anybody looking for a tropical resort.
