“Great accommodations”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 14, 2008

We stayed in two of the self catering apartments (Faughan and Foyle) at Drumcovitt house over a long weekend. There were 11 of us total (7 of them kids ranging from age 4-13). The apartments were exceptionally clean, the fireplace made it extra cozy, and the hosts, Chris and Sarah, were extremely friendly and helpful. The kids loved the dogs and the playroom with the table tennis. Chris directed us to a great pub called John T's, (in Dungiven I think- about 10 minutes away) where we had great food (large quantities of it), and friendly service. A very kid friendly establishment. The grocery in Feeny is less than 5 minutes away and has everything you'll need to stock your kitchen during your stay.

Feeny is a pleasant drive to the Bushmill's area (about an hour away) where we visited the distillery and of course the amazing Giant's Causeway. A definite must see if you are in the area.
We did not have the opportunity to explore the farm much as it was late November and rainy. Should we find ourselves in the area again, we will definitely stay at Drumcovitt House.

Self-catering apartment with two bedrooms (one upstairs, one down), nice kitchen and den. Lovely grounds, gardens, farmland. They have a big playroom for kids with a pool table, ping pong, and some toddler toys. There is a really nice path you can take from the "cottage" that runs along a field with sheep, cows, and meanders down by streambed. A grocery store is nearby that has everything you might need. Friendly dogs.

  • Liked — Very relaxing. Nice big bathtubs. Beautiful walks. Close to sites (Giant's Causeway, etc.)
  • Disliked — The restaurant we ate at closeby (forgot the name) was not that great.

We have stayed at Drumcovitt several times with the first time in the Summer of 2000 and the most recent in November 2003. Both times we stayed in the self-catering cottages, the old barn converted into spacious and comfortable apartments. Florence and Frank were our hosts both times and we were sad to see that Frank passed away. They were both wonderful hosts who insured that we had a roaring fire in the fireplace to greet us with each stay. All cottages come with a kitchen, living room and several bedrooms and bathrooms.
The Antrim Coast, Bushmills, Derry and Belfast are short drives from the Inn.
