We have a 16 month old and the cottage was perfect for all of us. Baby gates, chair, bath and bed was provided so we didn't have to travel so much with us and we enjoyed our walk next to the pond and to see the pigs and goats. We also had friends with us who have never been to wales before and loved the homely feel.
We hired the hot tube and pig fire for an evening and it was fantastic to relax for a bit while our friends watched our little monkey.
We were up to see family and everything was close by so the location was ideal.
Whenever I emailed to asked a question I got a quick helpful response. The only down side was not enough toilet paper :p but nothing we couldn't sort out.
We stayed in Bluebell cottage for two nights in July as we were unfortunately attending a family funeral and needed to book last minute.
When arriving, we were pleasantly surprised. We knew the cottages would be nice, but they were absolutely gorgeous.
We had fresh flowers, tea, coffee, butter and welsh cakes waiting for us in the cottage, which was such a lovely touch.
In the evening, all we could hear were sheep bleeting, it was so peaceful.
The rooms are very clean and beds comfy, with clean towels provided.
The surrounding area of the cottage is so picturesque and perfect for walking.
We will definately be staying again as we were very sad to leave.
Bluebell Cottage is in the middle of nowhere. There are no shops, pubs or restaurants nearby, but its location suited us perfectly - wonderfully peaceful and quiet.
The inside of the cottage is rustic and cosy, and very comfortable, although the kitchen is very small. Still, we had no intention of using the kitchen for much more than boiling a kettle, so it was no problem at all!
We didn't take any pets with us, but Bluebell Cottage does appear to be offered as dog-friendly - evidenced by the food bowls and place mats in the kitchen. In view of this, we might have expected hairy seating and a lingering dog smell, but we experienced neither. The stair carpet was noticeably grubby, though, which I assume was due to a procession of muddy paws over a period of time.
If we were ever to holiday in North Wales again, we would re-book Bluebell Cottage in the blink of an eye, although, the next time we went, we would accept directions from the owners, rather than be too clever for our own good and look up the postcode on Google Earth, or enter the postcode in the Satnav. Both of these wonderful tools will take you to a splendid farm about a mile from where you actually want to go!
Although in need of a bit of tlc, the cottage we stayed in was clean, and had everything you could need. Although we never used the kitchen, everything you may need to cook with was there. We stayed in one of a few cottages here, and there is no place better to come back to after a hard days sight seeing. It is so quiet and peaceful. The ponds are well kept, and pathways to the fishing ponds are well maintained. The miniature pigs are a delight, as is Sid,the resident goose. Unfortunately, we didn't get to see his mate and her goslings. Lots of other wildlife to see though including Rabbits, squirrels, and lots of birds.I would definitely stay here again the next time I do North Wales. It's central to visit the whole coast. Perfect.
