We have spent a whole week at Es Castell, and were spoilt from morning to evening including the night. The service is impeccable, the breakfast buffet is sumptuous, the optional meals (by good weather) cooked with great care and mostly served on the open terrace overlooking the whole island lying below you to the south with all the stars as panoply above us… were most delicious and plentiful. Our hotel room was large and furnished with utmost care for the detail, every wish and whim was instantly fulfilled. We packed our luggage and went home quite reluctantly, but we have already booked another week next year.

Room Tip: Everything is just perfect

Really enjoyed our stay at this delightful Finca. The setting is absolutely amazing nestling amongst farmland with the mountains as a backdrop. All you can hear is the tinkling of the bells around the sheeps necks in the distance. James is a charming and attentive host who made us feel most wellcome. We had a lovely comfortable room and enjoyed our substanial breakfast. Evening meals should not be missed comprising 4 courses featuring home grown produce and some excellent local wines on offer. Be warned finding Es Castell can be a bit challenging so a good map or Sat Nav essential. There are some wonderfull walks in the area so worth taking some stout shoes or boots (rough terraine).

James and his wife run an outstanding hotel. We stayed as a group at their satellite hotel just along the valley, Son Ametler, which was also excellent. The main hotel is set in something like 400 hectares nestling close to the mountains. Both buildings are is in top class condition and you will struggle to find better service anywhere. Food is good.

Well we have just booked to go back next Summer, super excited! We had an amazing week in August, if you cam book the junior suite, what the site doesn't show is the rooftop sunbathing terrace, just for your use. We chilled for a week and only left to eat out on the Sunday, oh and played tennis at the next hotel. James kindly organised transfers from the airport and then onto Palma for the rest of our stay. You've read all the other reviews so I'm sure you know everything, but this place really is paradise! Roll on next Summer.

We were looking for peace and relaxation and in Es Castell we found it. James was the perfect host and ensured that we had the ideal vacation. From the pool to the hammocks in the trees and the wonderful walks through the olive trees we had a magical time and we will go back: that's a promise.

My partner and I visited this place two weeks ago. It is really beautiful. The view is magnificant, the rooms are very nice and the breakfast couldn't be better. During the day they offer coffee, tea and cakes from the house. One night we had diner in Finca Es Castell which was very good. The advantage is that you dont have to take a car to drive to Selva or another village because the place is quite isolated. The other night we had diner in Selva, where you have three good restaurants (James can advise you). We will definately come back because the atmosphere is romantic and very relaxing.

We returned in September 2013, as predicted following our first visit and review in June 2012. It's still unbeatable for tranquility, relaxation and quality. We may even go back again - that's never been heard of for us. Just peruse the website and you'll see all the features. What you won't see is the ambiance and the service and attention you get from James and his team. Taking dinner is an added and lovely experience at a very affordable price. They'll even adjust the 4 course Table d'Hote menu for you if there's something that really doesn't suit. How good is that?

Room Tip: The suites offer more room and better outlooks, but they go quickly. They'll do a room change du...
