Booked through Thomson, asked and paid for superior room, didn't get it to start with had to argue for what we paid for.
The rep Ann admitted mistake and offered to change rooms for us ,we had already done it ourselves.
Resturant is ok for buffet nothing special, and runs out quick when we were there, replacements had to be asked for.
Worst thing about dinning is the wine service, should you choose to buy a bottle of wine, be prepared for a wait, we told by an awfull member of staff called Johnny he couldn't supply us with the list ,we had to ask a menial woman , sexist or what, well we asked ,nothing happened ,then he blanked us till we,d had enough, finally it was him who bought the wine ,and told us " If you aren't happy i can get the Chef? Out to answer questions".on the wine very strange.!
Next hope you are in touch with your European side, as there were massive influx,s of Bulgarian,s ,Romainians, and could be any type Eastern Europeans.
Needless to say rude ,loud, on our last day they took over the outside bar danced shouted ,got liberally drunk ,etc.
The first few days were the worst , maybe they too celebrated Orthodox Easter, the resturant has only 2 food counters for hot and plainly can't cope.
Rooms were clean ,air con was requested by us and hotel put it on.
Pools very small ,misleading Thomson pictures, recomend the beach, if quiet as nicer.
Al a carte shut in evening till June, dispite rep saying 50 percent of for guests, didn't check obviously.
Also roof bar closed.can sit but bar not open.
Drinks reasonable, English prices, cocktails lovely.nice touch snacks with drinks.
Shame the food around the bar in day was abysmal , club sandwich terrible , crisp city.
Breakfast ,usual squash , no juice, unless paid for , not bad warm food.
Potos is ok no real caracter , other town nice walk , town disappointing .
Transfer not too ,bad would recomend book taxi, much quicker, stress free.
Kefalonia was much better, but look out for Johnny, and the Bulgarians.
I'm not a moaner and deify any one to say I'm not accurate .

Room Tip: Ask for superior rooms, garden ones are old, tired, and did I say old.

A friend advised "if ever you want a truly relaxing week, try Alexandra Beach" so we did! I think we had the laziest week ever in this wonderfully situated hotel and particularly enjoyed eating breakfast and dinner outside looking out over the swimming pool and stunning blue sea. The food choices were amazing and I particularly enjoyed the veggie dishes - delicious brocolli souffle and lots of aubergine. There is so much seating around the grounds including rocking chairs overlooking the sea-heaven! Our bathroom could have been better, the shower screen leaked but hey-were we bothered-no not really, oh and I would have loved to dead-head the roses!

Room Tip: Possibly worth the extra for a sea-view room but garden view was fine for us.

Just back from an idyllic week at the Alexandra Beach. Everything surpassed our expectations, from the moment we arrived we felt that nothing was too much trouble for the courteous management and staff. The room was spacious and clean with a large balcony overlooking the beautiful gardens and flora. A wide variety of different foods were always available whether at breakfast or dinner so there was always something to suit every taste. Meals could be taken overlooking the swimming pool with the beautiful Aegean Sea as it`s backdrop and in the evening the most beautiful of sunsets could be witnessed. Just a short stroll from the hotel brought you to the village of Potos with it`s beachfront tavernas, bars and restaurants and in particular the "Boomerang" run by the Aussie Greeks, Alex, Abi and family. Thassos really is a beautiful unspoilt Greek Island where traditional Greek life still continues around you. There is something magical about Thassos, that brings people back year after year........... and we`ll be two more of them. Can`t wait!

We stayed here the first week of may 2013 it was only the 2nd week of the season and it was very quiet and relaxed.

The transfer to this hotel is long around 1hr 45 minutes however its no issue when you see what you are greeted with on arrival.

This hotel is spotless the garden and public areas are all immaculately clean and are well maintained. They even have their own vegetable patch which is then used to feed the guests.

The accommodation is clean and well equipped, good supply of hot water, fridge for drinks and free wi-fi in the rooms. Maid service is good.

The main resturant is buffet style but the view of the sea every night for dinner and even watching the dolphins at breakfast was stunning. The food is of excellent quality and well cooked, plenty of choice and the desserts well, I found it best to sample a few per night! Yum :)

There are 2 bars and a rooftop bar which wasn't open at the time. However there is a excellent choice of drinks and the cocktails are superb!

There are 2 swimming pools, they aren't huge but are well maintained, but hey you don't go on holiday to do Olympic swimming. They have sun loungers and tables around to chill by the pool plus if you want drinks brought right to your side.

The beach area is fantastic, for a start its private so no hassle from the 'lookie lookie men' and the free sun loungers and fixed straw parasols are plentiful. There are 2 floating jettys which have ladders on so you can have fun diving off these. The beach itself is clean and a mix of shingle and sand, but not any shingle, marble shingle some amazing stones to discover.

The staff from reception to the waiting/bar staff were fantastic they were very helpful and attentive, nothing was ever too much trouble and it wasn't like they are doing it just for the tips they genuinely seemed to care about your happiness.

There is also a spa and a gym, the gym is well equipped we didn't use the spa but other guests told us it was excellent.

The layout of the hotel flows well the accommodation is situated to the back with no more than a 5/6 minute walk to get to anywhere.

The hotel is situated just 5 minute walk to potos and a 30 minute walk to Limeria where at you will find some fantastic tavernas and the usual tourist tack shops.

All in all an fantastic stay, We will defiantly be going back and hopefully this year too.

Top tip : in the evening grab a drink and go an relax on the sofas overlooking the sea and the stars a perfect end to a day.

This place in my opinion is the best in Thassos. A big hotel complex which is suitable for family vacations, couples, friends. The food is extremely delicious and different every time. The rooms are really nice, big, clean supplied with everything. There is also free Wi-Fi everywhere. There is a tennis court and a football playground. The only bad thing is the beach which is not sandy but stony. There are perfect large beaches however on the island, at 15-20 min drive from the hotel.

We spent the vacation with entire family in Aug.
Hostesses from restaurant (male especially, but female also) proved lack of education and respect. They behave with superiority the clients, not with hospitality. The hostesses stay at entrance of the restaurant with arrogance, not being respectful with older persons& children.
After we had sited to a table, we were forced by personnel to abandon the table. But in 5 min they accommodate another family at the same table, with no explanation for bad behavior.
Even complaining to hotel management proved unsuccessfully. … maybe the management give the “tone” to this ugly melody “played” by personnel.
Food was ok. Room decent.
Poor quality of the owned beach, for Greece at least.
(... and the reservation was NOT done individually; but via a big travel agency ... looks NOT important for the hotel management … client satisfaction is not important for them)

Room Tip: Chose at minumum mid range room quality (basic one will not satisfy). Diner in taverneas is recoman...
