We visited in May for one week and can honestly say it was one of the best hotels we have stopped in. Nothing was too much trouble (I am gluten and dairy free) I could anything I wanted and it was never an issue. The hotel and pool were spotlessly clean in fact there was always someone cleaning something! All the staff made us feel so welcome we felt very comfortable. All I can say is what a find ! Thanks to you all!

Clean and quiet Hotel. Large rooms. The service is really good. The food tasted good.the beach is close. Nice cafes on the beach and a lot of bars. On the island were all polite to tourist.I can recommend the island and Astir Notos hotels.

Having stayed in Skiathos for the last 3 years, we decided to give Thassos a try. We stayed in the luxury apartments in the Astir Notos Hotel. The apartment was really lovely, with your own pool, very clean and quiet. Towels were changed every day and the maid was lovely. The Staff were also lovely, we had breakfast in the Hotel, but did not find it that good. We ate there one evening, but again, were not impressed. We were really surprised that the buses were so irregular and not at all impressed with the beaches!! Found two restaurants that we liked, but again were surprised at the non-availability of fresh fish. Avoid Taverna Irenes in Potos, really bad food, Sea Breeze is lovely and we ate there most nights. Went on a trip around the Island, very interesting, but be warned if you have difficulty in walking, lots of hills. We will not be going back to Thassos and it is beautiful Skiathos again next year.

Nice hotel. We were accomodated in a new section of the hotel which is about 50m from the main hotel building, which suits for families with young children.
A big variety of delicious food during a breakfast and dinner. I would also like to give my compliments to the owner of the hotel (who also takes care of the reception), a very friendly person!!! Thank you!

Stayed at the Astir Notos for a week at the end of September, its rated a 4*, well this is the 1st 4* hotel or any Hotel we've stayed in that DID NOT provide English tea for breakfast, along with other selections of hot drinks !! even said they didn't know what it was, but given that Tavernas & Eateries all had English tea we found this strange, especially for a 4* rated one. As for friendly staff, the only person we found friendly & helpful was the Manager, always had time for his guests,, the lady who was in attendance at breakfast was not pleased I asked for white tea on our 1st morning, not everyone drinks coffee or black tea, so we asked the manager why white english tea was not an option at breakfast, he said he was unaware that only black tea was offered, but that he would make sure it was there the following morning, when the manager eventually got the tea we were on our 3rd days breakfast, we were given 1 Tea bag each per day !!!! so while everyone else could have as much as they wanted, we were limited to one cup of tea a day, as we had paid the same as everyone else we expected to be given the same option !!! at no point were the Tea bags put out for other guests who prefer English tea, we did not find the serving staff friendly at all, they barely raised a smile.
The Hotel was clean, rooms were cleaned every day by a lovely lady, the service staff could take a leaf out of her book. But never have we stayed anywhere were the beds were so uncomfortable & rock hard, so hard I thought I'd have pressure sores by the end of the week.
Good selection at breakfast, with a few changes daily, although the croissants I felt were not Fresh daily, we can't comment on other meals here as we never ate at the hotel apart from breakfast.
Overall the hotel was nice but not in a prime location, with no views at all, which would be nice from a 4* hotel, could also benefit from tea/coffee making facilities in ALL rooms,
You are dropped off on the main road & have to walk to the hotel, while the luggage goes in a mini bus, would we stay here again, probably not.

Room tip: Doesn't matter what room you have their is no views

Dear Guests,

we read your review with a great rate of concentration and precision. What we have to comment on it is that every hotel can have a miss ! What is important is the reaction of the staff , the manager e.t.c . On this perspective , we consider that our reaction was fast , accurate and with focus to guarantee for you the proper satisfaction even for one single factor which is the provision of tea in the breakfast. However , i cannot accept all these indifferent comments that are presented here by your side for the general character of the hotel and its atmosphere as actually you did not experience at all the hotel throughout your stay. The service staff to whom you refer extensively here and are praised by some hundreds of reviews in many portals and sites makes a very hard and successful work years now. But is really not fair to criticize somebody's performance and to give indications that they should take their lessons from the cleaning department while in the same time , you never visited the pool bar , you never had any nutritional service in the hotel. And it is a pity indeed that you did not even try to receive the services of Sophia , Branka and Bogdan as are really excellent people and workers and could make for sure your holidays much more interesting ! At least this is what many people wrote in tripadvisor and other sites . My recommendation , as being the Manager you were totally satisfied with , is that for your next holidays you should book a B&B and for sure not a 3*, 4* , 5* hotel. To appreciate a hotel and enjoy your stay in it , you must experience it thoroughly . Just a nice room , with a nice view and well decorated can be found in Pensions and smaller accommodations in a much lower cost.

PS: For your matress , just to let you know that you could ask us for a topper ! We are sure that through this you would sleep much better ! However , this request was not made at all !

BR,

APOSTOLOS ZACHAROPOULOS

OPERATIONAL MANAGER - ASTIR NOTOS HOTEL & NOTOS DELUXE SUITES
