Review of La Rosa Del Agua

La Rosa Del Agua
Description: La Rosa del Agua is an 18th century stone house typical of the region of El Bierzo, Leon located on the Camino de Santiago, completely restored yet retaining all its original charm. The entrance to La Rosa is through the original solid oak doors cut from the old mountain forests that surround the village of Acebo. In the cozy rooms with private baths you will find a blend of old world rustic charm with modern amenities such as massage showers and climate control. Each bedroom has a western view of the mountain range with breathtaking sunsets and quiet cool mornings. Have a coffee on our sundrenched terrace or come inside the bar/ lounge and warm up by the nearly 200 year old fireplace with a glass of award winning wines from the region. Your overnight stay includes a continental breakfast with fresh orange juice and organic coffee. Whether you´re a pilgrim on the Camino or just looking for a mountain get away from city life we hope you´ll come stay with us very soon.

Delightful people who take such good care of peregrinos. I arrived in El Acebo early and called it a day. Had lunch at the Rosa and stayed for beer because it was just too much fun to leave! You guys are great and made me feel so welcome!

Immediately on the left as you enter Acebo. I can’t recommend this place enough. The new managers are two Australians and an American with fluent Spanish. They made us so welcome and we spent a lovely night here. Evening meal (delicious) is available for guests and breakfast too (also healthy and delicious). There is a small shop as well as a cafe/bar (nice cakes) and the room was warm, clean and comfortable.
