“A must see temple for the architecture”
Reviewed November 10, 2013

While it does have a great energy, the temple is brilliant for the architecture
Centuries old black stone structure with intricate carvings
A must see even if you don't enjoy religious places

“A great place to have visited once in a life time”
Reviewed November 5, 2013

It is just 240kms from Pune but I waited for 3+ years to go and visit the temple and it was a very awesome feeling having done so finally now. The waiting period was also big but fruitful when you actually see the devotees and the goddess too. Everyone must visit this place along with the elderly members of the family.

“Main attraction of Kolhapur”
Reviewed October 21, 2013 via mobile

Best time to visit is between 2-6 pm on saturdays. Hardly a crowd and you can spend some time peacefully. It is located right in the centre of the city and one can take a rickshaw to reach there. Avoid taking your private vehicle as there is a major parking issue. Avoid fridays and wednesdays.
The morning aarti @6:30 am is also good if you can wake up and brave the crowd.
Please do visit. Its very peaceful.

“The Place”
Reviewed October 17, 2013

This is an ancient indian temple. It may be worth visiting if you are visiting kolhapur or nearby places. Millions of people from all walks of life as well as from different parts of India visit this place every year. It is a temple of goddess & it is a place where people worship. One may see this place to see & enjoy ethnic indian atmosphere, which normally prevails at any typical famous Indian temple.
