We were there during february, the weather was really badm snowing, freezing outside but we never felt cold inside! Natalina and Gianni are 2 beatuful "piamonteses", they really made us feel like home. Breakfast was the best we had in our trip.
If you are looking for a nice, quiet, well prepared and great breakfast to stay in Piamonte, Casa Moretto is highly recommended!
We will look forward to go back!
Thanks Natalina Gianni, best wishes from Argentina.
Anita & Emiliano.

It's difficult to write anything more that's complimentary about Casa Moretto, as many of the previous reviewers have pretty much covered everything. But hopefully, this will add yet another endorsement to what is a lovely place to stay and persuade more people to visit this underated region.

We chose Casa Moretto as being regular visitors to Piemonte and Turin, we normally stay in the city for a few days but wanted a change without being too far away. From the initial email contact with Natalina, who was prompt, friendly and forgiving of my schoolboy attempt at Italian as her English is excellent, to the end of our stay, we realised we had made a good choice

We visited in August and stayed for two nights following our arrival at Turin Airport. Mazze is straightforward to find and Casa Moretto located on on the outskirts of the village, but still close to everything, including a very handy supermarket! You will find yourself in a typical small Italian village for this region, which is not at all touristy with normal daily life/activities carrying on around you.

What struck us when we arrived was not only the loveliness of the house and gardens, but the genuinely warm and homely feeling, which is underlined as Natalina and Gianni make you feel very welcome.

The room we stayed in was comfortable and spotlessly clean, as was the bathroom and would put many hotels costing several times the price too shame. The breakfast was freshly prepared by Natalina and served on a lovely sunny terrace overlooking the grounds and superb in both its variety, quantity and quality.

If you're planning to stay at Casa Moretto as a base to visit Turin, you may end up changing your plans, because if the weather is good you just will not want to leave the pool! We had planned to go into the city on our first full day, but the temperature was in the 30s, so we decided to leave it until the afternoon. However, we ended up 'crashing' on the sun loungers all day and cancelled our visit as an occasional dip and regular refreshment brought to the poolside by Natalina was irresistible. On that note, Natalina and Gianni are both knowledgeable and passionate about the region around Mazze and it's clear it deserves a visit in its own right. We intend going back and exploring, but hope they'll have availability, as when more people discover this place they'll be fully booked!

Finally, the attention to detail, value for money, service and the feel of Casa Moretto mean that if you choose to stay here, you won't be disappointed.

We stayed here for 3 nights during our recent family holiday to Italy. We chose here because it was close eough to Turin but far enough away for it to be resonably priced. We recieved a really warm welcome by our two lovely hosts when we arrived.
The rooms were adequetly equiped for what we needed. Free wifi in the rooms was great for checking the internet for things to do although our hosts recommend various places for us to try.
The swimming pool was a welcome refresment on a hot day. The breakfast was possibly the best part about our stay. Enough food to feed an army and amazing cakes and loafs were baked for us every morning!
Thank you for a really great stay, we would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to visit Turin or the surronding area!

I was on a business trip to Torino prior to taking a few extra days holiday with my husband, and we decided to book this place as we wanted somewhere between Torino and the Alps so that we could explore the Piemonte region. We were so happy that we came across this amazing place. Casa Moretto is a B&B with a self-contained apartment, and we stayed in the latter as we wanted to self-cater. We couldn't have asked for more. It was spacy, super clean and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable (e.g., SKY television, WiFI, dishwasher). The house was immaculate, had beautiful gardens with fruit and nut trees. It also has a lovely looking swimming pool which we could have used too, except sadly it was too cold for this at the time of year we stayed! Natalina and her husband were very welcoming, and provided us a bottle of wine that they had made themselves on arriving; and it was delicious (we brought two more bottles back with us!). They were the perfect hosts - attentive, yet respectful of our privacy. We were very impressed at the way they handled our booking, and amended it when we wanted to stay an extra night (an emergency as our other rubbish hotel in Torino cancelled our booking by mistake!). Mazze, the village where the B&B was located, is very quiet, small and rural, with pretty buildings. There was an adequate supermarket in the village, and more services in the nearby village of Caluso. Torino was less than an hours drive away (and the airport even closer), and the alps were about another hours drive in the other direction. You would definitely need a car to stay here I think. Our plan was to fish and hike in the local area, and the Casa Moretto was well-located for this. I can thoroughly recommend the Parc Nazionale Gran Paradiso - beautiful. Overall, we were *very happy* with this accommodation, and we would definitely stay there again; and hope to, in the future.

I have rated Casa Moretto as excellent because we had a great time there and it is excellent value. The location is very good, provided that you have a car. We arrived at Turin airport and rented a car for our stay. I would absolutely recommend this, it is easy, fast and not expensive.
Casa Moretto is located in Mazze, a small and cozy town. This town does not have many attractions but it is close to a lot of things and that makes it an excellent location. You are not surrounded by tourists but can easily visit all the Savoie palaces, the San Michele and the Museum of Modern Art in Rivoli. Turin is quite close and really worth a visit, maybe even two days (if you also want to enjoy shopping and food, which is excellent there).
The owners of Casa Moretto have Piemonte cards for sale, these cards can be used for unlimited access to almost everything in the Piemonte region, from museums to palazzos to the famous Bossea caves. They are really very helpful with everything and speak English as well as French. They also clean the pool every day, this pool is very comfortable, we enjoyed it almost every day. They also have a lot of information about the village and the surrounding area, they have even made a map with all the locations and times of markets and restaurants in the area.
I would really recommend restaurant Santa Marta and the small but cosy Erbaluce cafe (great caffe shakerato).
The furniture is a bit old and some of the beds are not as comfortable as at home, but for us it was fine and like I said it is excellent value for this price. I would certainly recommend it and we may go again in the future. We booked through a travelling agency but later we heard that it is also possible to book directly (and this is also cheaper).
I really loved the Piemonte region and Casa Moretto was a great location to explore it from.
