My husband and I have been to the Sol 5 times.
It had become our favourite.
Went for 1 week Jan 12 to 19th
Food was Terrible. For the first 5 days, there was no French frys or cheese.
The buffet restaurant did not open for lunch, but the Rancho was open.
I ate pasta every day.. This was the only good choice.
At the pasta station, there was a line up, and 2 women went up to the front and got their plates prior to anyone in the line up.
Someone complained, and Manager went up to the cook who was prepping the pasta, but not sure what was said.
Our room 2212, needed renovated badly.
The sliding door to the balcony did not lock and the door was so hard to open and close.
We went to the desk, and they came and put a lock on the door, but never did fix the sliding. So we had to use all of our strength to open and close it. The beds are lumpy and hard.
Staff in the pool bar/snack bar were useless.
The flys around the whole resort were terrible. Very irritating in the main buffet.
24 hour bar was good. Pina Coladas the best... Cappuchino was awesome.
There was no beach this trip, and the pool is very cold.
We did have beautiful weather, but will not be returningMore
