I had stay 3 days in this lovely villa situated in a beautiful corner of Tuscany... We had the Michelangelo suite wich haves a big livingroom with fireplace and a nice bedroom also with fireplace
The villa is very beautiful with a nice pool and a big garden where you can stay and have a drink .. or just relax..
The staff (Simona&Vlad) and the landlords Luigi&Gianluca made our stay even more confortable ...
They give us some tips where we can go and take dinner ...some tipical Tuscany restaurants (good food )
I hope one day i can come back here because it was a lovely stay...

Room Tip: Michelangelo suite is very very very beautiful....

We stayed here for the first 2 nights of our honeymoon during our mini tour of Tuscany, our welcome sentence was "this is your home, not a hotel" and was instantly made to feel so welcome and relaxed, we bought the deal from Travelzoo which we upgraded to a junior suite, we stayed in the Leonardo Devinici room which had a huge wonderful balcony and the room itself was well equipped with everything you need and typically Tuscan. The views were amazing and was lovely to wake up to in the mornings. Vlaad was a wonderful and extremely helpful and friendly host which made it more special. The hotel was in a beautiful area and very peaceful....it is quite remote so a car is advisable. The perfect place to relax. Unfortunately the only downside was the food in the evening, the Travelzoo offer stated a two course lunch or dinner with a cheese and ham platter, when we ordered our dinner on the first night there was no menu to choose from and we were told that we would have dinner brought to our room, this consisted of a cheese and ham platter only! Perfect if it was for lunch but after a long drive we were starving so was a bit disappointed and still hungry! So please note there is a great takeaway pizza place in the village! Apart from that this place was absolutely beautiful, I would definitely return but with the knowledge that there is no evening meal available!
We absolutely loved it here and felt so welcomed and relaxed.
The location is perfect for touring the Chianti hills and nearby cities and of course the local vineyards, although we had a wine tasting evening in the hotel hosted by Vlaad which was very quaint and the wine itself which was the locally produced wine was delicious and very well presented. A lovely little touch to the hotel.
I'm so looking forward to returning to Tuscany and will of course include this hotel again on our next visit.

We stayed at Villa La Grotta for six nights in September. It was the perfect home base for our Tuscan visit. We rented a car and were no more than 1 -11/2 hour drive to all the tourist spots. The drives were beautiful, se we didn't mind.
The rooms at the Villa were fine, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a perfect start to the day, cheese, bread, yogurt, meats and fruit and wonderful coffee!
Vlaad and Simone are perfect hosts and will help you with all you need. We would stay there again and recommend this villa.

We stayed here for a few nights after finding a deal with Travelzoo. The offer included either a suite or junior suite. On arrival we were informed a junior suite was prepared for us and if we wished we could stay in a suite for 20 euros extra per night. Checked out both rooms which were large, roomy but with all the charm of a hospital. The TV was the size of a PC monitor, the decor was minimal and uninviting and hence we found ourselves trying to come back as late as possible as there really was nothing to do either in the hotel or village. Another point was the noise factor , walls between the rooms were not soundproof and unfortunately we had a door which would not close properly unless forced:-(To be fair wonderful views and towns are in the area approx 30 mins away, and on checking out from our room (Raffaello) I did see into another guest room which included a massive fireplace and looked very inviting, However I will not be returning.

We had a wonderful 2 night visit to Villa La Grotta. Stayed in Leonardo Da Vinci suite with the balcony and the views of the pool and surrounding area were lovely. Staff was extremely attentive and accommodating with excellent referrals on restaurants/places to visit. Also treated ourselves to a massage, which topped the cake. Can't wait to return for a longer stay.

we stayed 2 nights, because of a wedding in el borro.
we had a room (the suite) on the second floor, no elevator (we travel with a toddler). the decoration was very eclectic. Breakfast was mediocre..... They need to polish some details in order to charge EUR 300 for night.

This is a lovely place to stay. The owners and staff were very welcoming and made us feel at home. The apartment rooms are well kitted out and the surrounding area lovely.Fabulous!
Make sure you go to nearby Il Borro and look around and have a meal. We also had barbecues at the villa as all the facilities are there. Also has a great pool.
