My Partner and I stayed one night with our Daughter who is 16 months old. The house has such character and fabulous views in a lovely setting. We were greeted by Carlos and later by Mario and we had coffee and homemade cake which was very tasty. Both Carlos and Mario were extremely friendly and helpful and recommeded a good restaurant as there's was closed as we stayed on a Tuesday which was a shame as I bet the food would have been very good indeed. They had a very soppy dog and a cat with kitten which added to the character of the place which our Daughter loved. When we woke in the morning breakfast was set out beautifully and tasted equally as good. I would recommed La Lodola to anyone.

Room Tip: We stayed in the suit which had great views

This B&B is a must if you want to have a 'home' feeling but without the tasks you do at home. Mario is a fabulous host and Carlo a great cook. There is always fresh fruit and great food.
His property looks marvelous and having breakfast in the garden is the real Tuscany feeling!
The rooms are good and have a great ambiance just as the rest of the house.
You can enjoy a day at the pool doing nothing or drive around between all the villages in the surrounding.

We had such a lovely time at Villa La Lodola. The house is charming and the family delightful. The food at the Osteria was absolutely delicious. Manuela was such a great host (and in multiple languages); we felt lucky to be there during the low season as we think we got extra attention. Mario also took great care of us and suggested a great route to explore the surrounding area. We particularly enjoyed eating our dessert and sipping some wine by the fire that he tended for us. We would go back anytime and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a B&B or local dining experience.

What a treat it was to stumble across this gorgeous B&B - Mario takes such good care of you and makes you feel like you are at home. He tended a fire for us in the evening and baked a cake (half chocolate and half apple) for breakfast. The scenery around the house is just superb! Unfortunately only accessible by car. His son Carlo, and wife Manuella, have a fabulous restaurant for your evening meal - we were priviledged enough to share in their last meal before their holiday and had the most amazing beef steak cooked over hot coals with olive branches and rosemary. The house wine is divine as is their home made limoncello.......what a fantastic memory!

We returned to La Lodola after an amazing visit last year - those who are eagle eyed will see I have reviewed this place previously... Anyway we returned slightly apprehensive, would it be as lovely as we remembered... Well we need not have worried. Mario was waiting for us as we drove into the garden and greeted us like family. We then went to the suite which was like "returning home" there is such a lovely and homely feel here that you cant help but fall in love with the house. Everything that Mario and his family do for you whilst you are here is to help you relax and enjoy your time in Italy. If you are thinking of travelling to the area - treat yourselves to some time here ( if you manage to get a room !)
If you cant manage to book a room try and book into the Osteria La Lodola... Only make it the first night of your holiday - not your last as you will be disappointed that you have not eaten there every night - food is amazing, menu changes everyday with local produce delivered during the afternoon deciding the menu - the one thing that does not change though is Carlo and Manuela's hospitality and lovely authentic Italian atmosphere they create here... Carlo has taught me that I actually like food I thought I disliked - it was just cooked incorrectly when I have had them previously !
