Just plain great! The cabin are really cool: you can see through them and hear the forest around. Bring earplugs, though, or the flying dogs will keep you awake. The bathrooms are separate, private and very clean and new. The BBQ-facilities are in ship shape condition.
BTW: Jabiru has an Olympic public pool (!)

The old flying foxes -fruit bats ( I just love "the flying dogs") are always happy to let anyone know they are around. We only have a few around on some occasions here at the park. We name the flying foxes the "night shift" & when they knock off the "morning shift" arrives - all the beautiful birds.

Good to hear your view of Lakeview Park Kakadu. Thank you for taking the time.

Clean, comfortable with nice garden setting. We stayed in a bush bungalow which was nice and cool, even after a 36 degree day. Good outdoor BBQ facilities. Although there is not a lot of privacy we would of stayed here 2 nights had we have known how good it was.

Room Tip: Bush bungalow sleeps 4 for $120 / night end of season. If you prepared a meal in the BBQ facilities I think it would be hard to beat for family value.

It is amazing that the bungalows can be so cool at night without air-conditioning isn't it?

Regarding the privacy situation in the bungalows, we have listened to our guests' remarks about this and are currently organising installation of some privacy curtains for the bungalows. The curtains can be used when required or pulled back to allow views of the surrounding gardens.

Thank you for your review.

I chose to stay at Lakeview because it was rated very highly on Tripadvisor and the price as very reasonable, compared to other accommodation options at Jabiru and Cooinda.

I wasn't disappointed at all. The cabin we stayed at was clean and practical. We had 5 people, the bedding configuration was 2 singles in Room 1, and 1 Queen and 1 single in Room 2. The cabin came with a fully equipped kitchen.

The only downside was that the bathroom and toilet were about 4 metres from the cabin. It was a bit inconvenient at night. But other than that, everything else was perfect.

This is the second time I have stayed in the Bush bungalows during my visit to Kakadu - worth staying at. Very clean. Queen size bed and single bunk beds. Your own shower and toilet facilities. Outdoor BBQ/dining area facilities shared between 2 bungalows, great facilities for outdoor dining. Best value accommodation in Kakadu.

It's lovely to hear that you have enjoyed our Bush bungalows in the past and chose to stay with us again.

I believe we do have the best value in accommodation in Kakadu and with Pool, Restaurant and New Accommodation coming in 2013 we will be even better.

Thank you for your time in reviewing Lakeview Park Kakadu & we hope to see you here for a third time!

Jabiru is a small, alcoholically dry, town in the middle of the wonderful Kakadu. It may not look too exciting when you arrive but the place is, green, well maintained and with a variety of accommodation. We had a two bedroom cabin; a small well appointed building, with loo and shower in a building out back - might sound 1940's northern England, but it was fine, and kept all the damp etc. out of the main building. We stayed just one night, but all wished that we'd booked a few more.
Nearby there's a supermarket and the necessary administrative offices for access to Injjalak and it's Aboriginal art centre and rock art tour.
Good value in the pricey NT

Lakeview Park Kakadu is undergoing an expansion during 2013 which includes a new entrance (& office) on the road in to Jabiru. This will make it easy to find us as well as enhancing our look to the travelling public.
We will also have available en-suited cabins when the expansion is complete. Yes, the grounds in our park are lovely & green and the gardens make it a great place to work as well as visit.
Glad you enjoyed your short stay with us and thank you for reviewing Lakeview Park Kakadu.
