We stayed at Hokianga Haven for 5 nights with our two kids. The accommodation and breakfast was excellent. the location is perfect, just on the beach front with a big garden. Private and safe for young children. The best bit for the kids was playing with Niua the dog, but for us it was the stunning view and warm welcome. Highly recommended!

After a long day of travelling we hoped to arrive at a nice B & B again. Unfortunaly this was not the case. Our host Heather did not really expect us to come and that was kind of clear. The room was far from clean, dirty bathroom, the breakfast utensils were not cleaned, and I can name many more. This did not really make us feel welcome.
Heather told that she had been ill a couple of days lately. But well, she could have a nice dinner with a friend on the deck, so in my view she should have had the time to prepare our room, which costed us quite some money. All in all we were glad to leave!
