We stayed for 2 nights on a voucher for £99 which included a 2 course meal on the first night The room was quite small and the bed linen and curtains certainly clashed!! The room was comfortable enough with a big bed made up of 2 singles put together It had all the required amenities and was clean enough. The tea/coffee /milk/biscuits were replenished daily as were the toiletries, as this is not always the case it is pleasing when it happens. The radiators were thermostatically controlled but the heating was available 24 hours a day if required which is unusual in our experience The staff were very pleasant friendly and efficient. The food on the set menu for the voucher was limited and the main courses were disappointing but dessert was good. Breakfast was good, cooked to order and the service excellent.
The Hotel is very close to a very nice beach with golden sands and a lovely expanse of sea. We walked along a small prom to Sutton on Sea and it was very pleasant looking at the beach huts and meeting lots of dogs and extremely friendly people. Living near Liverpool we are used to friendly people but in this area it is amazing everyone you pass speaks to you and in the shops they are so helpful and friendly and can't do enough to help - TOTALLY AMAZING.
The drawback to this area as far as we are concerned is that it is like stepping back in time. Although we came across some great DIY shops and bought items we have been trying to source unsuccessfully for years!! There are few pubs and restaurants to speak of in this area which is a real problem if you want to eat somewhere other than the Hotel All in all an interesting break with some pros and some cons and the good weather we had helped make it enjoyable. The SAT NAV tells you that you have arrived but you need to continue along the road a little further to find the Hotel.

This Hotel is a gem. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. This was the second consecutive year I have stayed at the Hotel. The room wasn't ready when I arrived (due to the late check out of guests), so I went to the Sandilands 18 hole Links golf course (which is owned by the Hotel so the Green Fees are simply added to your Room) for lunch and to meet my colleagues. After playing golf, we went back to the Hotel to check in and as last year the spacious room was spotless. There were plenty of Tea/Coffee making facilities and all the equipment (TV, trouser press etc.) were in good working order. There was a combined bath/shower with plenty of hot water which is just what is required after being out on a windy links golf course. The Bar was well stocked with real ales and lagers. Although there were bar meals available we chose to eat in the Restaurant. We enjoyed an excellent meal with Silver Service. The staff were not only very professional, but also vey friendly which made the meal a thoroughly enjoyable experience. In the morning breakfast commenced at 7 a.m. There was a good choice of fruit, juices, cereals and cooked breakfasts that set you up for the day. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable stay and I would not hesitate to recommend this magnificent family run Hotel.

Stayed for 2 nights in the large family room.We were shown to our room with views over the manicured lawns at the rear. A large balcony is available through the fire exit. The room was spotlessly clean with plenty of tea and coffee making facilities.Everyone of the staff were polite and courteous and spent time making sure your visit was enjoyable and memorable. We ate both nights in the restaurant as the food is served piping hot and beautifully presented. The drinks are very reasonably priced in the bar, that has a lovely "olde world" charm. WARNING : save room for the deliciously fresh baked puddings and sweets - they are rather large portions. Two minutes from the sandy beach with walks in either direction.Thank you all at the Grange for a lovely time. We look forward to our next visit.

My husband and I were given a weekend away as a birthday treat from our daughter. When we arrived I wasn't too well, but nothing was too much trouble for them. We had room service for our meal that evening.
The room was superb and hugh. We had a 4 poster bed, settee and easy chair, coffee table , T.V., teamaking facility, a biggish bathroom and an area st back with at=rmoire, chest of drawers and dressing table. There was of course the other usual items you would expect in the room.
We were only supposed to be staying for 1 night, and then we were going to move further up the coast for a second night, but it was so nice there we managed to book in for the 2nd night there instead.
The garden restaurant was light and airy, and the breakfast was more than enough to keep you going all day as they were very generous with their portions, and it was lovely. In fact all meals were generously portioned, you certain won't go hungry staying at this hotel.
The 2nd morning I had smoked haddock and poached eggs, and it was absolutely heaven to eat.
The 2nd night we had a different room in the new section of the hotel, again the room was a good size, with everything you could need.
The staff were really nice and very pleasant and chatty and nothing was any bother for them.
We would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: If you want 4 poster ask for room 2

The welcome was very nice and the room was very spacious and comfortable. We had our meals
in the bar (because of the dog)and the service was excellent as was the food. Will go again and will recommend to friends.

I've stayed here many times and in that time there can't have seen anyrhing spent on it.
The rooms are ok but dated. Bathrooms are dated with desperately weak showers. A sign has warned you for the last few years that the hot water is very hot. I can only assume that the hotel is run on shoestring not to want to sort these fundamentals out.
Downstairs in the bar and restaurant is 50's chic in a symphony of browns but all the messages from various posters, signs, photographs and styles are all so confusing. I'm just not sure anybody is clear what is being offered or who to.
The food in the restaurant was generally good but bizarrely decided to charge £17 to have a steak even though people had paid for full board already.
While the steak tasted good it left a bad taste similar to a shot in the foot.

cold and damp day when we arrived, but a warm and efficient welcome at the hotel.
The room was enormous, had a double and 2 singles, with all amenities.
Close to seafront.
the hotel needs the "Hotel Inspector" to update the décor, very 70s floral and dated bathroom suite, however the food was excellent, we ate in the bar and the menu was wonderful, including the menu we could have had in the silver service restaurant.
Breakfast was waiter service but you could have what you want.We recommend the ham and poached eggs, the ham was delicious.
Overall a very nice break
