“Lovely little B&B”
Reviewed April 28, 2013

Such a nice, family run B&B. We stayed in the disabled room. Plenty of space for my wheelchair in the room and a well equipped wet room (bathroom)
Breakfast was excellent and relaxed, without being fussed over.
Highly recommend the hotel for a very good price.
I will definitely book again.

Room Tip: For a wheelchair user the disabled room is brilliant.

Stayed just one night, ideal location, clean & up to date room, only criticism is they could do with a few more plug sockets, there wasn't one near the mirror which made it a bit hard when drying/straightening hair! Also not crazy about the white sheets & towels, get a bit paranoid about spilling things on them.

Thank you for taking the time to submit a review, Steve and I really appreciate your comments, and thank you for taking such good care of our linens! And with regards to the mirrors, all our rooms have 2 mirrors; a full length one and a smaller one. The full length mirrors aren't sited near plug sockets, but all the small ones are, or they are free standing and can be moved wherever you need them. I'm not sure which room you stayed in, but I will make sure that none of the free standing mirrors have been removed because I fully appreciate the need to have a mirror near a plug.

Many thanks to Michele and Steve for a warm welcome and a most enjoyable stay. Well positioned right on the beach and overlooking the boating lake to the rear. Rooms are fresh and modern with simple furniture and plenty of storage space. Lovely breakfast room with a delicious freshly cooked breakfast, the afternoon cake is a real bonus and goes down very well. The hotel is in a quiet area and is only a five minute stroll into Mablethorpe, parking is well off the road and very secure. What makes this hotel stand out from all the rest is Michele and Steve. They know how to treat their guests properly and they are two of the nicest people you could ever wish to meet, not forgetting Archie the dog. Without doubt this is the best place to stay in Mablethorpe and I for one will become a regular customer. If you stay here and find anything to complain about then you really should stay at home.

We stayed at beach lodge 17th & 18th April and had a lovely relaxed stay, when i booked Michelle said that they would be out until 3pm but we could leave the car in the car park so this is what we did and went the short walk into Mablethorpe. When we returned later to check in we were welcomed by both Michelle & Steve we were taken to our room (room 10) very nice & clean, comfy bed. Nice roof top seating area which gives you private access to the beach. Breakfast was great very nicely cooked, The homemade cake tea / coffee making facilities a real nice touch. We got chatting to Michelle & Steve this is when they told us the story of their journey in the building & hotelier trade being ex hoteliers ourselves we can only give praise to this couple knowing what hard work it can be. We think this is a fantastic spot and would return we wish both Michelle & Steve good luck for the future. Ann & Kev. ( drop us an email when you need that much earned break ) Well done again !!!!!

Room Tip: upper floor great sea view from the quiet relaxed sitting area.

We have stopped in Mablethorpe on a number of occasions and the Beach Lodge Hotel is by far the best in Mablethorpe. It has been recently refurbished and every room is fantastic. I can say every room as my family took all the rooms in the hotel for a weekend and I was able to get the views of all the family on each room. The owners are very eager to please and although we all came down to breakfast at the same time they coped and were always happy to help. I would certainly stop there again.

Last weekend we were visiting relatives in Mablethorpe and my husband had told me about this bed and breakfast. I had never completely enjoyed a bed and breakfast in Mablethorpe before, but as soon as we arrived, I knew this was going to be different. We were located really close to the beach, it was immaculately kept, and the owners were so welcoming and helpful. The rooms were great, and there was even home made cake for the enjoyment of the guests!

When we went for a walk on the beach, there was easy access through the gate and we were there.. perfect. Breakfast the next day was beautifully cooked (even the poached eggs!) and we thoroughly enjoyed having a cup of tea in the beautiful sun room with it's gorgeous views.

There were games, DVD's, books and other entertainment for the guests which was great for us.

We stayed two nights. I know we will be back again!

Thanks for a brilliant stay. See you again next time.

Jo, Lee and the girls.

Room Tip: No pool or fitness centre so could not choose a rating for that!
