“Warm and welcoming”
Reviewed August 20, 2013

After staying at Colours guest house for a long weekend recently,we stayed in the peach room.On arrival we were greeted very warmly by Sue,who took us to our room and was very helpful. The room was small but adequate and spotlessly clean. We have two small dogs and they too were made very welcome. The breakfast included a large choice by which you could have anything you wanted,it was cooked and tasted as good as it would at home.It was literally a minute to the beach and on the other side was a lake.Paul and Sue were really lovely people and always had the time to talk to you.We would highly recommend Colours to family and friends and will definitely be going back there ourselves in the near future.

We stayed here for 2 nights, me, my partner and our 2 children. The staff are very friendly, the rooms haveceverything you need, The cleanliness was of the highest standards, as was the service. The breakfast included a huge choice, of which you can have the lot if you wanted, and is also excellent quality. If (rather when) I go back to mablethorpe, I shall definitely be visiting again. Thankyou Colours!

Excellent service, clean and comfortable rooms with all "mod cons" and overall great value for money. The house is blessedly far enough away from the amusements yet right on the beech and has a real relaxed atmosphere. Would definitely return.

We had a lovely stay at Colours recently. We were made to feel very welcome by Paul and Sue from the moment we arrived. We stayed in the Blue room which is downstairs and has a large ensuite wet room. It's the only place I've ever stayed where I haven't had to remake the bed to my liking (yes I'm picky about my bed). It was spotlessly clean and there was room for out travel cot. The breakfasts were lovely and cooked to order.
The guest house is perfectly situated, it's far enough away from Mablethorpe to be quiet but close enough that you can gently stroll into town within 10 minutes. We'd stay again and highly recommend colours for a lovely relaxing visit.

Stayed for one week having stayed for the same period last year not long after Paul and Sue had taken over Colours Guest House. We were in the Lilac Room (ensuite) and our elderly friend had the Green Room (ensuite) which is ideal for people with disabilities, as the bathroom is a wet room which makes showering very easy. The rooms have been well maintained, the gardens have been spruced up and the evening meal menu has been greatly expanded and still extremely good value and of a high quality. Both Sue and Paul are wonderful hosts, full of enthusiasm and nothing is too much trouble. Why would you stay anywhere else in Mablethorpe!

Room Tip: Lilac Room is ensuite, on first floor looking towards the sea. Green Room is ensuite, suitable for...

Hi. Thank you for your lovely review it was great to see you all again. What a shame that the venue has changed for next year, however we're sure you will find somewhere nice to stay in Camber Sands.

Just to avoid any confusion the downstairs room is the Blue Room not Green.

We've just come back from six days at Colours, staying in the brown room, which is en suite. The room is spacious and airy, the bed very comfortable, and there is plenty of space in the wardrobe. Sue and Paul were most welcoming and friendly, full of good advice and local information. The breakfasts were delicious and ample! We'd thoroughly recommend staying at Colours - keep up the good work!

I stayed at Colours for 3 nights and it was lovely. It is a guest house not a hotel and so the bathrooms are not en suite. Each of the rooms are painted different colours. I was in the Peach Room and my bathroom was painted peach too. I actually liked that the rooms are not en suite because you feel like you are at home rather than in a hotel and the carpets around the house are really thick so you don't hear anyone walking around at night if they happen to be. Sue and Paul who own the place are the loveliest people you could meet. I was travelling alone and got a warm welcome and a cup of tea on arrival. I wasn't feeling well and they let me stay in my room for longer than check out time without any problems at all. It made a huge difference to my day. Apart from that the place is spotlessly clean and tidy, the rooms have a hairdryer which does work unlike most places I have stayed in. There is a kettle and tray for tea and coffee in the rooms and they have touch lights by the bed so you don't have to fiddle around looking to a cord which is a really nice touch. Downstairs in the lounge they have a selection of books and magazines for you to read.

Hi. Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review, it's was a shame you were poorly on your last day with us, but we hope it didn't spoil the rest of your week at Focus and you enjoyed the rest of your stay in Mablethorpe. Paul & Sue
