Room was very spacious warm and inviting with a large shower in the ensuite. The radiators were on steady with nice warm towels. We had a meal in the restaurant 23 al I can say was fantastic. Breakfast the following morning was just as good. Cereal and orange juice followed by a full Ulster fry non greasy. I couldn't finish it. Lovely

We were in our way to warren point for a birthday party and decided last minute to book in and stay due to the snow. We were greeted by a very friendly bar man who booked us in and showed us to our room, even lifting the bags! We went out for our night out and ended the night in the residents bar where we were well looked after. The service was fantastic and the staff were so friendly and chatted away to the residents. We were welcomed in the morning with the requested breakfast in bed and and allowed a late check out. A fantastic experience, we will remember our Balmoral experience!!

Food can be served in the bar or upstairs in the Restaurant upstairs. Food is of a high standard and the menu is varied.

Pascal barman is always pleasant and cannot do enough for you as are all the staff.

Live entertainment most nights ,great atmosphere.

Room Tip: Ifyou want a early night i suggest a room at the back of the hotel as band perform at the front.

Having spent 3 nights at The Balmoral, we can say, without exaggeration, that it is a very friendly & welcoming hotel. The members of staff that we came in contact with were friendly & helpful beyond measure. We would certainly stay here again. The town of Warrenpoint was also very nice & the shopkeepers were a very friendly & talkative.

My boyfriend surprised me with this trip for my birthday. We stayed for 2 nights with breakfast included. It is in the most beautiful location, right on Carlingford Lough, even if the weather is miserable it is still a breathtaking landscape to look out on!
We arrived quite late, around 5.30pm and there was no staff at reception, but easy enough just to go round to the bar to get member of staff to check us in, however when we got to our room, it smelled like someone had been sick, was disgusting! So we went and asked if they could do something about it, and we were moved straight away to another room, which was fine, just had two beds pushed together as it was a twin room and all they had.
The following night we were moved again as the room we had been moved to was booked that day. We were moved to the most BEAUTIFUL room ever! The Cloughmore Suite! I would recommend anyone to stay there! The view over the Lough is outstanding and the room itself is pure luxury!
We really didn't want to leave after staying in that room! Overall, I realise it is a small hotel and does not have dedicated staff to man areas like reception etc...but apart from that we had a really enjoyable stay and would definitely go back, if we could get the Cloughmore Suite :D

Room Tip: If you want a spectacular room, book the Cloughmore Suite! It's worth every penny!

I was treated to a decadent birthday lunch here and what a treat that was. The view over Carlingford lough is simply stunning, ask for a table in the window and enjoy watching the sun sparkle on the water as you dine!
The staff were very warm, welcoming and just lovely, passionate about the menu and well informed. The mini loaves served warm in a hessian sack were a delight as were our beautifully presented starters, each one delicious! Raymond Mcardle has an obvious talent and is a chef to watch.
He was presenting the best of regional produce each dish a feast for the eyes and a delight on the palette. With an extensive and impressive wine list we were in no hurry nd though it was well into mid afternoon were not in any way hurried or felt we had to finish up and go. Our mains were superb and we had a selection of sides which did not disappoint, all gorgeous.
We even managed to share a desert and had perfect Irish coffees, we were obviously not driving!
The whole experience was wonderful and I will definitley return, maybe stay over and go for dinner next time .........
