We spent ten wonderful days at the lodge. It is located on a magnificent sandy bay, with few locals and no tourists in sight. We had bungalow 24 which was virtually on the beach. The food is a highlight. Fish is brought in by local fishers twice a days and the chef finds an imaginative way to serve what he's got. he didn't serve the same meal twice. A couple of times we wanted a break from fish, and the kitchen quickly sourced chicken and meat. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed an excursion to an island nearby, transported in local sailing fishing boat, with good swimming and grilled fish. The village of Anakao has little to offer, the speedboat from town takes over an hour, there is no wifi or mobile connection, and telephone/internet is unreliable, so this place is remote. You juts have to take it easy. No choice. There is good message. The wine list could have been better and I always like a hammock, but it would be churlish not to give Anakao Ocean Lodge a full five. It is almost paradise.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea-front bungalow.

Very happy to stay here. Great setting, helpful staff. We enjoyed a very restful and pleasant stay here. Fabulous beach with some of the best shells we've ever seen. Great seafood from the restaurant .

Fantastic, go and stay you will love it. The rooms are amazing considering location and even better considering how they have considered the location, they really have. There is an 8Km beach everything is as it should be,

Room Tip: the family bungalows are excellent

We just go back from this paradise, and I must say that is MORE then 'excellent'.
The beauty of the Lodge is unquestionable and the food is sublime
There are many excursions to do, all beautiful. In particular, we mark the passage of whales, that you must do
Go go and go ... no doubt!

Room Tip: Rooms on the beach are the best

Beautiful place, nice bungalow, great service, great food, a romantic place.
This resort is the best in the Anakao / Ifaty. The arrival of Anakao is one hour by speedboat, it was a great trip and you get to see the whole coast from Tuliar to Anakao.
