“Very Spanish”
Reviewed July 6, 2012

We ate there on Wednesday, the bar was quite busy with, mainly, guys eating tapas. The restaurant was very quiet, only 2 tables occupied. Food was good, service a little surly - the waiter didn't speak any English but that's ok. Omelettes were delicious as was the Palacio de la Vega Chardonnay, great value at less than €9 a bottle.

Will definitely return.

“Eat with the locals.”
Reviewed June 24, 2012

I must admit I have been here on numerous occasions over the last 10 years ,for both lunch and dinner, most recently in May. It is on the main road, the side-streets are used for parking, the main entrance is located on the corner of the main road.

There is a main bar with the restaurant beyond, the catch of the days is often on display. With many of these restaurants, furnishings are traditional. The star of the show is the food, I've only every seen a menu when I've been on my own / with the family.

This is a seafood restaurant, meat is available and tends to be very good, the bounty of the sea is the star of the show. Most of the shell-fish is sold at market prices, so be careful, you ca run up a bill. Service is attentive, there is a decent wine list.

I love the Gamba roja, most of the dishes are simply cooked and really on the quality of the ingredient coupled with skill of the chef, it is not pretentious but is usually rammed with locals, normally a good sign.
I can't recall a bad meal here, well worth a visit.
