“Real Value for Money”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 25, 2013

Hotel Costa Narejos you are given a warm welcome at reception, they speak English and are very professional.I was with a group of Golfers all expats that came up from Almeria for a 3 day Golfing break along with our wives who are not all Golfers but they used the spa and done what ladies do SHOPPING.
I can only endorse those comments of spanishfly58 , DENISE J and maturetravellerx2
The Drinks and snacks were all reasonable priced in fact cheaper in the hotel than across the road in the square.
We had a wonderful time at this Hotel and will be returning later in the year.
Finally, the manager Angel runs this Hotel as if it were his own, nothing is to much trouble just the way to run a successful business, Well Done The Costa Narejos

Room Tip: "Corner suites are large and sunny"

The Costa Narejos is in a really good location very close to the beach. The Hotel sits on a road near the sea. It is also opposite a small plaza which has a number of shops, restaurants and cafes ( mainly Brit based) the plaza leads to another Hotel 525 .. At the Hotel Costa Narejos you are given a warm welcome at reception, they speak english and are very professional. There seemed to be a lot of golfers and bowlers when we were there, plus expats there for a short break. The average age was about 60 plus. There were only 2 children there, (wonderful !!) The hotel itself is very nice and clean, there are 2 outdoor pools which are on the small side but then you are near the sea! The rooms themselves are fine and beds comfortable, and ,if there is any problem, it is sorted out promptly. The lifts were quick, with lovely views over the Mar Menor as you ascended to the floors The hotel's cafe/bar had daily happy hours which were very good too with their prices! All the hotel staff were wonderful and very obliging. In fact the manager seemed to have a great sense of pride about the hotel (and the Trip Advisor award is proudly on display at reception!) The hotel's restaurant served typically Spanish fayre (with a nod to the Brit .bacon ,egg and sausage for breakfast) and , it was hot! Some things on display I found amusing! For eg. a tray of sweet corn next to a tray of chips for breakfast? I stuck to the traditional local choice. There was always something for everyone to eat . But, as usual there were the "piggies" that just had to take rolls and cold cuts from the servery then wrap them up and smuggle them out of the dining room, so they wouldnt have to pay for lunch! The hotel by the way offers to make their clients a picnic lunch if they so require! As the season is early yet, the entertainment was very low key but I think most people were content with a quick stroll and a drink in the bar before retiring to bed. What we enjoyed was sitting in the chiringuito bar a short walk away from the hotel, and watching the local military airforce practice formation flying, interspersed with Jet 2 and Ryanair landing at San Javier ( Murcia Airport) It was even better at night as they lined up with the shoreline to land! The noise was minimal! I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a short break out of high season. Its ideal for a base to go and explore the Mar Menor,La Manga ,Cartagena and Murcia. Plus there is a good connection to all the motorways if you wanted to go farther afield. I would not hesitate to re visit again and tell others to give it a try. Its worth it! ( PS. For those missing clothes shopping ,a big commercial centre has opened north of San Javier called " Dos Mares". Handy if the weather doesnt perform to plan!!

Room Tip: Rooms at the front of hotel have a very small balcony. Best rooms are sea view.

I took 20 people to Mar Menor for a sailing trip, The hotel was superb, so central, and friendly.
The buffet breakfast and dinner were excellent and the service great. Rooms were huge,
and very comfortable and facilities couldnt be faulted. I d have no hesitation is recommending
the Hotel and the Manager made us so welcome. Roger and Denise Jenkins Mojacar sailing group.

Room Tip: stayed on the first floor overlooking the pool areas. excellent

set in a great location close to the beach and the square, a lovely traditional Spanish sea side town.
the room and public facilities were spotlessly clean
the bar staff were pleasant and hard working, along with the restaurant staff.
food was buffet style and always fresh with plenty of choice.
we will return !

Room Tip: small balcony on rear facing rooms but wasn't a problem for us

Return trip to this hotel, great location just off the beach. Hotel is modern and still in good condition rooms have minibar which is really handy for the cava! No charge for the minibar, pleasant change. Pool area nice and quiet in October , not ,any children . Breakfast was nice, nothing too exciting but good coffee.
Restaurant t's across the road , a bit "British " but good value, still can't find where the local people eat.
Lots of places to visit , we hired a car for the week , huge mall opened the week before we arrived,
Really nice staff in the hotel, lovely and clean.

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor.

Second visit this year, in September took my elderly parents there for a holiday, needed a wheelchair, the hotel helped me organise this. We decided on a family room as this has two bedrooms and lounge and bathroom, with a large balcony overlooking the pool and sea views. Everyone really enjoyed their stay here, you can relax and enjoy and it is so easy for disabled people to get around the hotel and also down to the beach and all along the promenade into cafes and bars, no problems at all. It was a lovely relaxing time for us all and we enjoyed the evenings entertainment each evening, music and dancing with a lovely mix of people. Happy hour in the bar was a great idea we were able to try out cocktails for E2.00, very nice too. The food as always is fantastic the choice could not be beaten, all fresh fruits and salads, always fish on the menu and of course meats, so much choice you can not try everything while you are there and we stayed for 5 days. The staff as always so helpful and friendly and they can not do enough for you.
Also went in October with a friend and again we had a great time at the hotel, enjoyed the Spa and a massage and even tried out the gym. Looking forward to going again next year!

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the pool are exceptional

The hotel is centrally located to everything so that's great.
It wasn't overly busy when we were here but would say if it was the pool area wouldn't be big enough to cater for everyone but the beach is only a short walk.
It has spa facilities but never had time to use them.
Would say though definatley more for adults.
