Description: I have had numerous meals in this cafe and think they do one of the best jumbo breakfasts going. 5* hygiene/cleanliness rating too! The cafe is set on the grass above the beach and has fantastic sea views all the way to Saltburn. Fantastic food, fantastic staff. Highly recommended.

On the outskirts of Redcar, heading towards Marske, you'll find the Stray Cafe - standing alone with no buldings around it, opposite Zetland park. Always busy but always plenty of seating. The building was rebuilt a year or so ago, but it is said that Churchill dined at the original bulding on the same site. Good value and free parking outside.

Along the Stray which is a long grassed area betweem Redcar & Marske, the Stray Cafe is a well known Cafe serving hot and cold food and drinks. Used by tourist and locals alike. Seating inside and outside but be prepared to wait for a vacant table.

The breakfasts are fantastic, very well cooked and there is nothing it does not include, better quality than a lot of high class hotels. Work the dog on the beach then have breakfast. The cakes and pastries are also very good.

It is one of the best cafe in Redcar, although its not in the centre of town, it is situated on the Stray along the coast road leading to Saltburn, so the setting is nice and Quiet and seating inside and out, it is always very busy.
