“A successful stay on all counts...”

This place is hosted by two charming and very hard-working people who did their utmost to make the stay a pleasure. The rooms are decorated to a superb standard with great en-suite facilities and equipped with excellent range of toileteries. The whole place is being totally upgraded, and it looks like the breakfast area will be completed soon.

The breakfast was tip-top, especially the eggs, which are from a local supplier - you really could instantly taste the difference in quality. Overall, everything was done with an exceptional amount of thought and attention to detail, a great choice when visiting the area.

Room Tip: Until the hot water boiler is moved, avoid the back room over the kitchen if a light sleeper.

Stayed for 6 nights recently and really enjoyed it. Conveniently situated in a quiet street within walking distance of Redcar train and bus station, shops, and beach. The room was tastefully decorated and spotless. Amazing breakfast quickly served by the very friendly and helpful owner, Gill.

Room Tip: I would recommend taking the ensuite bathroom.

My partner and myself have just stayed here for 2 nights (Sept 2012) whilst settling our daughter in at Teesside Uni. We were made to feel very welcome by the owners, Gill and John. Our room was spotless and suited our needs perfectly as we were only on a short break. I thought that special attention had been taken to the decor and all the little touches in the room. On arrival we noticed that they had won an award this year for excellent breakfasts and the award was certainly well earned. There was a lovely variety of things to choose from and the cooked breakfast was excellent. We ventured to O'Gradys pub and enjoyed a lovely meal in their restaurant which was also excellent value for money and we would recommend a trip here if in the area.
Gill and John were very attentative and couldnt have been better hosts, we will definately be returning to the Armada .

We stayed for 3nights from the 24th August and we were greeted by Gill who was as great as all her previous reviews had stated. She showed us to our rooms which were superb, newly refurbished and lovely and clean with white fluffy towels. We had an absolute blast at O'Grady's Pub around the corner, enjoying their live band (a different one every night) and we enjoyed ourselves so much we are planning to arrange another stay at Armarda Guest House in the not too distant future as Gill and her team were warm and welcoming and extremely attentive advising the best places to visit and . We will be back soon!

Having read the other views, I have to agree. Best guest house I have ever stayed in. Lovely rooms, spotlessly clean, lovely fluffy towels, and every thing you need. Gill was very welcoming, and very kind when I felt a bit unwell one morning and sent up orange juice and toast to my room.
Although I do not eat meat, my scrambled eggs and nushrooms were perfect and friend wolfed down the Englias Breakfast. I could not fault anything at all and would definitely use again and recommend to others.

Myself and my son stayed in the Armada Guesthouse and we will be returning!
Gill is a lovely lady, very helpful and called us by our first names.
The pictures on the site do not do the rooms justice! They are clean, fresh and very well decorated. The on suite is impeccably clean and the towels white soft and fluffy!!
If you have forgotten any thing, (soap, shampoo) Gill has some here at a very reasonable price!
There is plenty of tea and coffee in the room and Gill makes sure you have fresh milk not the little pots that don't taste fresh.
We slept really well and woke in time for breakfast. The breakfast room(which can also be used for your take away the night before) is clean and fresh and well loved our full English, and cereal and toast!!!! Can't fault this guesthouse!! And we will return!!
Thank you Gill!!!

Room Tip: Very close to all amenities!!
