“Functional, value hotel”
Reviewed December 6, 2013

I've stayed here a couple of times, using it as a base for the Cervinia glacier. Last year I could tell you about the food, (good, but nothing outstanding) but this time the kitchen was closed, so breakfast was the only eating option. That was the usual standard hotel fare, nothing special, but a bit annoying there was no orange juice after the first day.

The hotel's hidden gem is its 'leisure' area. You could easily spend a week here and not know of its existence because nothing is made of it and its down a couple of corridors at the back of the building, behind a door which looks like access into a public car park. But it's worth hunting out as you can recover after a hard day's skiing in the sauna, steam room and jacuzzi.

Otherwise the hotel has nothing particularly memorable to commend it. It does its job, the rooms are clean and the staff no better or worse than you might find anywhere.

I was tempted to give it 3 stars, but the leisure area makes it better than average. If you are thinking of using it as a ski base, it is good value, but in future, I think I would prefer to pay a little more and stay closer to Cervinia, saving an hour's travelling every day.

Room Tip: All much the same I thinki

I arrived at this hotel on 2 nd Feb as part of a school skiing trip, we were greeted by the lovely land who owns the hotel. We were greeted by a light lunch of pasta. Rooms were comfy, staff at the hotel were great and speak a little English which I found was a bonus. Stayed at this hotel for a week and I enjoyed every minute of it. The hotel staff made your bed everyday puts your Pj's under your pillow. Breakfast was nice everyday and I would recommend this hotel to every one. This family run hotel is very homely. I would stay here the next time I go skiing.

My family and I are still guests at the current time and will post a final comment by the time of the check out.
First of all the location of this Hotel is terrific, just outside the highway and half an hour drive away from beautiful skiing areas. The rooms are renovated and very comfortable (no more cracks around!) and the personnel is friendly and helpful. The restaurant is lead by the owner og the Hotel, a very nice lady who really makes a great job. Last but not least the spa is very comfortable and elegant with a big jacuzzi, a nice steam room and the sauna.
In the end the quality/price ratio is almost unbietable!

More to come next..
