Really good in every respect, best of it's kind for miles around, well worth a visit better than a chain pub for a comparable price.

First visit for me and the wife and our 14 month old son.
The food was outstanding and the staff were very attentive and friendly. We will certainly be visiting again, hopefully soon.

This first time we have had a meal at the carpenters arms since its refurb a little while ago. I was amazed at the transformation, absolutely beautiful! Atmosphere was lovely and the staff were so accomodating and pleasant even though we arrived right at the end of service. The food was fantastic, all freshly made. We had the home made chicken curry which was sensational, the chicken just melted in your mouth, it was delicious. Our daughter, of two years old was also warmly welcomed, and offered some child friendly menu choices! and loved her chicken goujons, also fantastic (ive never seen her eat so much!!). We had sticky toffee pudding for afterwards...which I could have eaten twice over it was so yummy!! I was really impressed with the prices too, our bill over all with two adults meals, a child's meal, dessert and four drinks only came to £35. Portions were very generous. I love a good country pub..but of all ive been too, this is the one I feel would be tough to beat!! Highly recommended!!!!!

This country pub is situated less than a mile from Llandegfedd reservoir, and a good place for a drink and some good home-cooking especially if you have been walking one of the many local footpaths.

The main bar has cosy, traditional pub seating, beamed ceilings, and an oak floored snug room complete with old church pews.

They have a good selection of well-kept real ales (both local and national), good range of wines, and freshly cooked, locally sourced food. Also good bar snacks and sandwiches.

Staff are friendly and efficient and there is also a huge pub garden for an outside summer meal.
