“Everything you need for a comfortable, quiet night at the Trowbridge Premier Inn”
Reviewed August 16, 2014

I'd never stayed in a Premier Inn before so this was my first experience, on an overnight business trip.

Check in was quick & easy - not necessarily an amazing warm or professional welcome - but I figured that might be the way it is when you're not choosing to stay at a traditional style hotel.

My room was perfect. Clearly a lot of thought has gone into this brand where the facilities are concerned - it's everything I want from a hotel without the wasted unnecessary extras ie. business centre, gym, and facilities & accessories I don't need.

The bed was incredibly comfortable (so much so that I might sell my house and live permanently in that room). ;-)

The room was incredibly quiet despite being right next to the road. The only noise I heard was some children running (in the corridor?) for a few seconds.

The air circulation and temperature were easy to control and again spot on.

The lighting (which I often find a disappointment in accommodation) was perfect with lights everywhere and a nice expensive mirror with lights embedded for any close up work.

The TV was brilliant.

The ensuite shower in bath, toilet & sink area were again spot on. I noticed they had a curved rail on the shower curtain which I assume is so that it doesn't stick to your arm when wet?!

The room was spotlessly clean.

Breakfast was also very nice with helpful staff and a lovely man/chef providing the hot breakfast with some friendly 'Brummie' chat.

There are lots of restaurants with seconds walk as well as a cinema, and this is vey well located in Trowbridge.

We didn't have a car but parking in the main car park looked busy to full. There is however a multi-story car park just a minute's walk away.

As you can probably tell by my review, I was very impressed.

The hotel was new and fresh. Unfortunately parking is a nightmare, so it was 4th floor of the multi-storey and no lift. Staff were attentive, but a little over stretched on check in and restaurant. Had to wait for food because of this.

Fab location, park, cinema, plenty if places to eat right outside the door. Staff friendly and helpful, the only downside was the room was way too hot, fan was provided but made no difference sadly. However the hotel refunded the cost of the stay as per their goodnight guarantee, I never expected that!

Firstly, ignore the reviews slating the parking, we arrived for a 2 night stay on a Thursday and found parking no problem either night. The hotel was immaculate, well presented and very clean! The check in using the little machines was very quick and easy and a delightful gentleman showed us to our room and helped with the luggage. The room was perfect, two little single beds for the children and an extremely comfortable king size bed. The room was also immaculate and well laid out, the bathroom spotless also. Breakfast was perfect, plenty of choice for a gluten and dairy free diet, porridge offered to be made with water or milk, I was delighted! Then bacon tomatoes, mushrooms and fried egg for breakfast, perfect! The children were very happy too. A perfect stay, great value for money and great service! I would highly recommend this hotel!

Overall it was very comfortable and clean, I dont think we would stay here again but that was down to location not the hotel. Parking was not the best but you can park for free across the road in multi storey but only on ground floor or top floor time unlimited. I was not sure if the car would be safe leaving it there but it was fine. There was restaurants just outside hotel which were ok. We had the family room for 4 people which was lovely. Overall a very pleasant stay.

couldnt fault the room at all and the location was great, would have been nice on arrival if we had been told that we would have been woken up at 8.30 on sunday morning by the sound of drilling and a nail gun echoing through the hotel, main reason for the stay was to get catch up on sleep and enjoy a lie in, no chance at this hotel on a SUNDAY.was so looking forward to this mini break but was ruined.

Room Tip: ask for one away from building works, we were unaware they would be working on a sunday but were not...

What an excellent example of the Premier Inn Brand! Our room was spotless, comfortable, huge TV and lovely proper bed for my 2 year old daughter.

The breakfast was delicious and there were loads of choices.

The staff were all very helpful and polite.

Parking was easy too.

It is situated on a retail complex with Frankie and Bennies etc but it wasn't noisy and turned out to be very convenient as we had a good meal in there too! The town is a 3 minute walk away.

Excellent hotel and I am still amazed at the cleanliness, food and comfort for £79!

Well done Premier Inn.
