While in Marazion on a lovely summers day, who could resist fish & chips. This Chippy is wonderfull, practically on the beach and the food could not be better, all fresh & crispy, the staff really friendly though so busy, there was some big Q (must be popular) but they moved with with speed and a smile, the premises clean & bright, will certainly visit again.

After entering the shop and queing, I asked the lady serving how the ordering system worked for special orders. I was immediately told in an abrupt manner to; "wait your turn, as everyone else is in front of you". I then replied that I was just querying how the system worked as most local fish & chip shops ask you to notify them as soon as possible, when purchasing from the cooked to order menu. The gentleman cooking the food then piped up "I've got my own system that has worked every single day for the past two months, the one your describing doesn't work down here."
He was quite obviously, assuming that we were tourists on holiday and that we were going to ignore the rude and patronising manner in which we were spoken to and just hand over the money.
Think again!!
Little do they know, we live in St Ives and that attitude doesn't wash with us Cornish folk and it certainly shouldn't be a way of talking to the tourists who visit our county.
All this from a chip shop with a poster on the wall informing customers that "rudeness will be treated with contempt".
Have a look in the mirror.

Sorry to hear your visit to our fish and chip shop wasn’t as we would have liked. As you can imagine, during the summer months the chip shop is exceptionally busy therefore it may be difficult to hear clearly from behind the fryer a customer’s question especially when we are busy serving customers at the front of the queue. Given this, we like to think we provide ample sign posting advising on our system. We also welcome both locals and tourists alike to come and try our food and can guarantee our intention would never be to offend. Kind regards.

Love these fish and chips when we are on holiday. They are fresh and delicious. The portions are also a generous size and the prices are good. The owners are also very friendly

We visited the Tudor chippy after reading the T.A reviews. I was a bit disappointed. The fish was fantastic, the staff were great and I didn't mind waiting for the food to be cooked. But what is with the chips??? These are the kind of chips that I would expect to get from a chip van outside of a sports ground not from a chip shop. A real shame because everything else was good.

We stopped in after a round of golf, seriously good fish and chips, and the chat was great while we waited for it to be cooked. We ate in the car looking out to st Michaels mount... The scenery helped but it was the fish and chips we remembered!!
